All you can do is keep punching
If your flux core welds are spittin' and poppin' like crazy with tons of spatter, switch your polarity. You need DCEN for flux core.
That will probably not help much, outdoor and corrosion on the wire is more likely the issue.
My polarity is correct, problem was that I had just turned it on and had my volts a bit too high.
Wire was mint, had my volts too high and frankly the material is a bit too heavy for what the machine is capable of, it can just barely do it, I'm gonna switch back to 3/32 7018 the machine will do better with that process

Nice powerwall project 😊 You said you don't wanna spend hundreds of dollars on some plastic holder things and you have a plan. What was the plan?
Basically I only used them on the positive side of the batteries and the negative end I just used the nickle strips to hold it together, is a bit more loosie goosie but it worked so only used half as much as normal
@@modernblacksmith Nice. Good idea! I'm working on a 120p 14s pack as well with ebike cells. The plastic holders was expensive so your idea to use half is interesting. 😊 Looking forward to more videos about your powerwall 😀
How many years can u get of that 18650 cells with proper DOD and SOC

Definitely need to find some fuel blocks. Wish it would run on coal. That would make them that much cooler. The smell and smoke would be so real
I was gonna get some burning coals from wood stove but probably would need to be reloaded a few times. Apparently you can use solid camp fire starter fuel pellets and they are way cheaper

My uncle had one of the stationary ones, I don't remember ever seeing it work though. Amazon has the fuel pellets
