Buongiorno Valentina. I really like the chickpeas trick CECI. Thanks so much for this lesson.
❤
My last name is Ricchi. I've been "teaching" this for my entire life. I'm just going to link people to this video from now on! Thank you!!
I hear you!! That must be hard! Glad to be helpful and... benvenuto!
If you're my italian teacher in school i would have learnt italian just in one week well i set a 2 months goal to learn italian i have started learning from the last week of august and it has been only 6 weeks and i'm on intermediate level watching your videos. The pronunciation of C was the only that confuses me i used to pronounce Bacio like "baakeo" 😅 ! Thank you for your explanation ❣now i can read better in Italian
That's amazing, Rohit, bravissimo!! I'm so glad my videos are helping you and of couse I can be your virtual teacher :)
How did you get on? You said 2 months.
Learnt is not a word. It is learned.
Too bad you didn’t learn English as well 😮
My goodness, you make Italian pronunciation a piece of cake, I had nightmares pronouncing the letter C. My lady, you're the best Grazia Mila.
Teacher ❤I am from Nigeria 🇳🇬 but I love it when my cousin's speaks Italian ,,but they uses it to oppress me 😂 that's why I am here 😌for you to teach me ☺️
Such an excellent breakdown. This is the best explanation I've seen. Thanks!
Glad you fond it helpful, Kristine!
Very useful lesson! Thank you!!
❤
wonderful teaching style and very ingenious to mention CECI
You are by far, the best teacher I have come across on CZcams. I appreciate you.
😊 Grazie!
Thank you so much for the explanation...
Best teacher❤

Thank you for this video. I was born in the U.S. , but my ancestors are from Southern Italy (Mostly Basilicata). Im trying to get more in touch with my roots. Unfortunately a lot of our culture has been lost in America. Teachers like you are much appreciated and needed. Thank you again. You have a new subscriber. 😊 🇮🇹
Grazie a te! I'm really glad I can be helpful to you for reconnecting to your Italian roots. And I am a southern too, from Sicily! :)

Yor very good teacher
This is an awesome lesson! I have not understood how to pronounce the C in Italian and now have a better grasp about speaking properly! Grazie
thanks so much! Very clear!
❤
Grazie Valentina, for clarifying the c sound.
So helpful. Thank you!! It is very hard to pronounce it opposite of your native language. Haha pronouncing ch- when there is no H, and not pronouncing ch- when it is written as such! The CECI rule helps so much.
Thanks a lot am living in Italy for 9 months but speaking Italian language is my problem even to have a job it's hard for me thanks for the video
Great lesson! I want to ask though have you made a video about Sch, sc pronunciations? I'm confused about them and I would love to watch it
Grazie grazie Mille! I love the chickpeas trick - that made it so easy!
Sì, davvero magnifico!
Very well thank you! ❤️
Thank you dear.
You are amazing. First time on your channel and I have been captivated. For those of us whose native language is Spanish, some sounds are familiar. Thank you very much, subscribed now. Greetings from Mexico
Benvenuto, Rodolfo!
My native language is Dutch, I like English better and I learned some French in school. Now I am trying to learn Italian. It's not an easy language I've come to realize 😅.
Thank you a lot for this lesson... I already made a list of all the sounds I came across, but your video made it easier!
Brilliant!

I'm glad you liked it!
You are the best, you make it easier for me grazie
Great video for learning. Excellent teacher👍Thank you!
Thank you for your teaching
Grazie
If I understand well, would it be correct to say that Italian has no use for:
1. Words that are spelled as: cha, cho, chu. No need to put the "h" to make the sound harder.
2. Pronunciation that in other languages like Spanish sound like cha, cho, chu.
Thank you teacher Valentina. I love your "ceci" trick!
Love the chickpeas trick! That cemented it for me. Grazie mille.
❤
Cool this is sorprendente
Hi, you are a beautiful , and excellent teacher , thank you for all your lessons

Buongiorno Valentina Stella. I have just followed and subscribed to your channel. Excelento . Bravo. Now i hope to learn Italian using your channel.
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Hi, thanks for what you do. As an Spanish and English speaker, is a little confusing. But, with your videos I understand a lot more. I'll be in Italy in a couple of days, definitely this will be helpful.
Confusion is absolutely normal, especially at the beginning. But your knowledge of Spanish will definitely help. Buon viaggio in Italia!
Interesting
Thank you! I have an upcoming business trip to Italy and have never learnt nor spoken Italian. I have some experience with Spanish and French (and am an expat American, where they never bothered to help us learn a second language as children) so I'm really glad I found your channel so I won't butcher my pronunciation while I'm there!
Well thank goodness you found another country to live…stay there 😮
Thank you Valentina for your explanation and efforts.. La ringrazio 👍❤️
è un piacere Amira, grazie a te per apprezzarlo! (Dammi pure del tu, faccio così con tutti i miei studenti ;) )

how you teach it's really amazing specially (ceci) I love it thank you so much again lots of love from India😊😊😊
I'm glad it was helpful, Abid! I always try to invent some kind of trick to help students understand and memorize the rules, and I always try to make it as fun as possible since I do believe when we enjoy what we learn we learn faster and better! ;)
Prety good.
Second time watching this video. It's been very helpful for me to watch many of your videos multiple times. Thank you.
I'm glad to hear it, Irma!
Thank you so much, Teacher Valentina! I've been having a hard time grasping this particular section of Italian pronunciation in this textbook that I'm following, but you made it so much simpler to understand and retain! Grazie mille! ^_^
I'm glad my video clarified it for you, Lenny!
Valentina, WOW! you are great teacher. when I accidentally turn on my computer, you channel popped up and started following. Your pedagogical method of teaching language was wonderful. I may, hereafter, consistently follow your lesson. thank you for teaching us the Italian language.
Benvenuto! I'm glad you find my teaching style helpful. I always strive to make my lessons easy to follow and enjoyable, and also to really help students understand the logics behind the Italian language. Hope you will like my other videos too.
Valentina am so blessed by your teaching its simple, clear and easy to remember. Gratzie da India. What about Italian Alphabets?
Here you have it! czcams.com/video/B4aCxTWfHJI/video.html
@@ItalianTeacherValentina thanks a million.
This is amazing thank you very much ❤❤
I was wondering if you could do a video like this about the "H" pronunciation because it's very confusing
The "H" is always completely silent in Italian. The only thing it does is that, when following C, G or SC, it makes those sounds hard, as explained in the video. ;)
I love the CECI trick Ms Stella! Grazie mille
PS: sorry, I am not your student but I occasionally watch your videos on CZcams.
I'm glad you do, Barry! Benvenuto!
Nicee molto bene maestra
I’m so glad I found your lessons. I dropped Rosetta Stone because I learn so much more from your lessons. What I would like to hear are responses to your phrases. I can speak Italian (Intermediate) but when the person responds I’m lost even when they speak slowly. Any chance you can provide expected responses? Grazie Mille
So glad my lessons are helpful to you, Jerry!
Have you checked out my "Italian Conversations" series? You can pause it and repeat both the questions and the answers aloud, so that you can familiarize with the words and how they sound. Here's the latest episode: czcams.com/video/-vx7UCr6kzQ/video.htmlsi=oOnDwixrRkK64NNe
More are coming, but meanwhile you can watch the older ones here: czcams.com/play/PLaeKp_sNLJVzAE7fuGlmoxi2dugE-dYod.html
Ceci, haha, thank you Valentina
:D Whatever my students need to memorize a concept!! (usually the funnier the better, right?)
@@ItalianTeacherValentina it is an amazing abbreviation and I will never forget it now. Grazie mille!
Ciao grazie per questo video fai anchora
Very nice video! Most of my doubts are cleared. Now I know how to write ka, ke, ko, ki, ku sound. Can you tell me how to write just the 'k' sound as in cup or come? Are there any words like that?
Great video , I thought the I after c is silent like ciao but I heard you pronounce it in cia
That's a common misconception, I've a dedicated video on this coming up in the upcoming weeks.
So well explained 😊😍🤩
Here's a question, what if a name has the soft C pronunciation, but is followed by some other letters (not E or I)
For example if I want to write a name of a city or a person in Italian which is from another language.
That's a really good question, Rez! It will depend, especially with foreign names and words. Nowadays, we tend to pronounce foreign words quite similarly to the original (especially if it's English), so you may find exception to the rule. E.g. we pronounce "chat" as in English, so with a soft c sound instead of what Italian pronunciation rules would require (that spelling itself wouldn't exist in Italian)
Am new here in your channel, I just finish watching this video, am 7 months here in Italy, am still learning Italian language, I can speak but not as much, but I also found your video more interesting, sometimes I found it difficult to pronounce some words, I think this video is for me 💯
Make sure to check my other pronunciation videos then, I have a whole playlist!
@@ItalianTeacherValentina yes sure I will, please can you do a video of someone that are called of an job interview conversation, I will so much appreciate if you can do that for me, thank you 🙏🙏
Thank you very much for the wonderful explanation. I have a question about the letter g. Sometimes it is pronounced as the letter hard g, for example gionnio, soft g aggio and in some cases it is not pronounced at all, such as luglio or cognata, which is pronounced as the letter y in English. Are there other letters that we must know how to pronounce, for example nuora? Appreciated
Ciao Susan, please check out my dedicated playlist for Italian Pronunciation: czcams.com/play/PLaeKp_sNLJVz3LzjT277KwTNWc9EgySYd.html I haven't done a specific video on "g" yet but I explain some misunderstandings abot "c" that apply to the "g" too in this video: czcams.com/video/BuCbk94q4FU/video.html
