    Great video, I'll admit when I first started playing clawhammer I was intimidated by all the different tunings. But the more you do it and learn why you change to a certain tuning the more possibility's you find. Wich makes it alot more fun!

    SO helpful! Using this video with your tailored & easy to understand explanations along with Bradley Laird's, "What is a Capo"- & accompanying visual of a circular chromatic scale- was a Hallelujah moment! My understanding jumped a human light year.

    This is a great session. I wish there was a list of what I might call the "pair" tunings. Where you have the open tuning right next to the related tuning that could be used with the capo. I'd love to print that out, and also use it to organize my banjo tab and practice sessions.
