    I lived on the Isle of Wight where Tennyson wrote some of his poems. Did he write THE Charge of the Light Brigade when he lived on the Isle of Wight at Farringford. Nr Freshwater?

    hey not sure if you'll see this, I'm just wondering if this analysis works for the dactyls and the song like rhythm. I want to know if I could say that the song like rhythm gives the poem a childlike quality which could be Tennyson's subtle criticism on how this war and what happened was childish

      I thought to compare Bayonet charge to The Charge of the Light Brigade, but I also think it compares well with remains, so I don't know which one to do?

    Could you say that the repetitive use of "honour" creates a sense of a mocking tone- he is somewhat trying to mock these noble virtues that have influenced and brainwashed these men to do animalistic things by the order of the aristocracy without event thought. Alternatively, it might be representing Tennyson's pride fo the brave and noble men who have put their lives on their line to defend their country.

      That second sentence of yours is the 5/6 view that most of the country will have.the examiners want to look for summa outside the box
