Gérard, a young student, discovers a fragment from a Phoenician amphora in Corsica. Obsessed with the idea of uncovering the lost treasure Troilus, he embarks on a daring journey aboard a smuggling boat, enlisting the help of a smuggler named Erick to navigate the treacherous waters in search of the fabled plunder. He meets Manina, the light-keeper's daughter, and their romance complicates his pursuit of the treasure. I thought it was in French. I like to hear Brigitte Bardot speak in French. I speak French and Spanish very well. This version is good too. Spanish is my mother tongue.
This must be very confusing to watch, then. Expecting French, hearing Spanish, and reading English. It's probably a lot easier for me only knowing English.

Bridgette Bardot, at the height of her career, walked away from movies and fame. She was more interested in being an animal rights activist and leading a simple, quiet life in France.

This movie is rather primitive and editing leaves a lot to be desired. But at least I saw BB for the first tieme as a teenager actress. Unfortunately the movie was concentrating on her "bits" more than anything else 🙄 I admire her for giving up acting by dedicating her life to the conservation of wilderness.

Speaking of French films, were there any translation of any Louis de Funès film ? I would suggest "Les aventures de Rabbi Jacob", an all around funny movie. Even today.
It could be a challenge with subtitles though as de Funès speaks very fast.
