I had this song on repeat while traveling from Tokyo to Osaka. I played it over and over again as i walked in and out of the stations, and as i explored Umeda and Namba. It was the perfect soundtrack, it gave my trip quite the vibe. Thanks a lot Keshi!

The song is pretty deep, from my initial listening, it seems to be talking about a relationship, particularly between two people. The relationship is a one way street, someone who loves unconditionally and the other isn't and is a bit more selfish for their own needs. The song expresses the journey, and it's ending. Keshi knows the relationship is bad, but he's willing to take a hit to be with her knowing how and who she is. The music video elaborately explains the relationship, but through the lens of a bank robbery. Keshi and his associates(other guys who's tried to get with her) are the other dudes who's been trying to get with this girl, "entering her vault(heart)". But when they get there, its everything that they expected, the richs of a love and their own eventual murder(heartbreak).
note: further thoughts: wearing the mask is also a nice touch to the theme of his song, i kind of feel like it represents all of the potential significant others whos come into our lives, they eventually fade into ambiguity, we remember the deeds and what they wanted and what they've done, but we eventually forget their faces.
Forgot to mention, but they're wearing a, "kitsune mask" or fox mask. Which is usually depicted as a tricky troublesome beings. Not sure if they considered that when picking the mask, but it was a nice touch!

Okay I thoroughly jam out to the song, but I've been dying to talk about how the cinematography is to the 40,000th decimal on point.
To open with an ending scene and having no other 'after' plot, proves the inevitability of their fate. When they're at the planning-prep table, the person who betrays the group (I'mma call him the gunner) is isolated on the other side of the table, whilst the other three are on the same side, our first hint that the gunner is not really on the same side (haha) as them in this operation. Plus, when the three are looking at the map, Gunner isn't included. We also get the first shot of his specific gun.
Car scene: possibly music video purposes, but acknowledgement of the camera--frontality, lip-synching, slow-mo--the directors/actors are not letting the viewers forget that this is a story given to them. Stable shot from outside the car shows that most of the members are sure of what they're doing and have no doubts or hidden intensions. When it show Gunner though, the frame turns shaky (handheld cam), reflecting the resistant and troubled mind of the gunner. Plus, another blatant show of the gun. His specific kind of gun becomes part of his character/identity as well as how we can identify him from the others' mindsets. Also, notice how that, when they're shown putting on their masks, the camera focuses on the person next to gunner first before shifting to an even two-shot. Gunner only becomes equal when he puts on the mask, or in other words, he can only perfectly conceal himself when under the unifying insignia of the group. The person half-wearing the mask in the car (I'mma call him Cash-Eye--don't know his name ^^;;) shows that he is comfortable with and easily able to switch between his identities: as the illegal foxer and as himself. The person next to Gunner (I'mma call him Fox--also don't know his name ^^;;) also doesn't have his bangs showing when he first puts it on. These two together tell us that the bank robbery is just a job to them, and they're just a nameless vehicle to carry it out. They can become no one. There's no personal attachment and they can blend in (a bit like the Gunner). For now.
Corralling the people scene: It's chaotic, of course, but is it really? The three's camera shots shake and wobble wildly, but Gunner's doesn't. Even when he's specifically threatening one civilian, his camera frame follows his actions smoothly. Gunner's resolve and the time for him to act is nearing, and he's ready for it. But for the other three, the bank robbery act rattles them more than their initial ability to just brush the robbery off as 'just a job.'
This is further supported by the bangs that come out onto Fox's mask, as well as the more prominent show of Keshi's dyed hair+ponytail as the camera follow their backs. A mask represents the facelessness, the previously mentioned ability to blend in and have no attachment, but if there are more individual characteristics, such as hair and the clear showing of the skin in the eye cut-outs, then we perceive them as more individual: they DO have an attachment if not a growing identity to, in this case, the illegal bank robbing. They are no longer nameless or just a vehicle for a job, but now this is THEIR job.
When Cash-Eye empties out the cash register tray and gives an 'ok' hand gesture, we clearly see the skin from the eye cut-outs--he's all-in on this job, and it has become a part of him, but when the camera turns to Gunner, the skin is replaced by shadows. As he pulls out his gun (the one we've been trained to recognize!), we know what Cash-Eye's fate is without it ever showing.
Opening the vault: frontality as Fox and Keshi look at the stack of cash, again reminding us that this is a story given to the viewers. (Their eye cut-outs are also showing skin, even in the dark of the frontality scene.) The camera zooms in on a tilted cash stack. Obviously, the zoom-in is emphasizing the goal of the cash and how they've made it but why is it important that the cash is tilted? Tilted frames and objects indicate instability. Whatever relationship or goal or plan they have with that cash will ultimately amount to nothing (remember the opening scene? xp). The slow-mo of them throwing the cash into the air PLUS a zoom-in highlights their ignorant relief, and we as viewers are agonizingly tensing and telling them NOOOOOO, especially as Gunner walks down the hall, his specific friend-killing gun equating to his identity. We know that the gun and what it's already done (and will keep doing) equates to his identity because in the mise en scene as he walks down the hall, Gunner is in perfect distance with his gun. Basically, he has a two-shot with his gun, and the transposition further equates him to his acts. We also see that we CAN'T see his skin or eyes from his mask cut-outs, bringing new meaning to the unattachment of his job: his allies will die, and he's just the vehicle to carry out the act.
Long comment, but the cinematography is just BRILLIANT. Mad respect to everyone.

I relate to this in that I spent all I had for a harmful friendship. I think this is a really good comparison to a relationship that is a “risk all” kinda thing. Of course all relationships is give and take, but not all are in equal amounts. The actions those take to keep those unfair relationships afloat do all they can to make it work and even put the other at ease. But, it can only go so long until it comes to backfire. And at the end of it all, you start to ask yourself if it was all worth it. And was it what you really wanted. Also, great work as always Keshi!
