This special moment: you watched a great vid, you want to buy this pedal, you're clicking the link and you're so excited because it's in the sale and than you nearly get a heart attack because it costs €1200! Sorry, it sound's like a bassist's dream, but I would never ever spend this much money for a pedal...
But it's not an "entry level" pedal for the average player (sorry, not trying to be mean) but for someone who's versed in these synth sounds and wants to take it to the next level. I know I couldn't justify this pedal but the ability to blend two effects is neat.
@@judih.8754 Really? Someone who know what money's worth or maybe has a bad payd job or maybe even has an incapacity for work, must be an entry-level musician? Sorry for my rough words, but that's just pathetic!
Seems like they make use of the brand like Fender does 😂
Buying all the pedals (or even some) needed for many of those sounds separately would cost you way more than 1.2k€. Then there are the other features such as the effect loops, insane amount of customization and the small size (It doesn't eat the whole pedalboard).
It still is a lot of money tho.
I too would recommend this for gigging/recording professionals or those who really want to dig deep into synth territory.
That's peanuts‽ 🥜 You need a job.
Thanks Gregor for showing me this new Must-have pedal. My wife just reminded me that I haven't spent enough money on gear. And coincidentally, I was about to be fired from my cover band for not using more Death Synth sounds. You've save my career.
😂
If I could afford to be a pedal addict and get this, I would. Bass and pedals are a such a BEAUTIFUL combo.
Supercool video, got mine H90 delivered from Thomann here in pizzaland a couple days ago, it is a fantastic toy for guitar and bass addicted.
My Laurus Quasar just love it.
That pedal sounds incredible. I have no idea what I would do with it, but I want one anyway.
$1200, you have to be kidding me. 😂
A lot of online retailers have a pay while you play option that gives you several months same as cash.
The slap tone at 30 seconds in is amazing!
Just bought this pedal. It is going to be the cornerstone of my new mini pedalboard with a comp and 2 or 3 dirts and that is it. Expression pedal on the side. This tiny pedalboard will cover just about any sound i could think of that isn't absolute madness in a super high quality board. Of course there is compromises but I am excited to see how far i can push a small board like that. Having owned a h9 for many years they are another league above the helix's and such but it is hard to capture that in videos. Thanks for video.
The great thing about Eventide pedals is that you get these kind of sounds pretty much out of the box. The wow factor is huge with these. Of course you can very similar sounds using other pedals and multi-fx for less money or the same money and even more options but then you'd have to think about the sounds and tweak a lot.
It's about preferences.
Excellent and Inspiring video! Thank You!! As a multi-instrument & vocal guy, I'm eager to hear what the H90 can do on Vocals, Mix, Bass, Synth and Guitar...
Awesome pedal. Lars is such an awesome player and made this demo top shelf.
Very much appreciated, THX man! Atb, Lars :-)
Great sounding pedal and great sound examples!!
Love the sounds and love the shirt 💜
Very nice sounds and playing!
“Knife Drop” sound got me like 🤯🤯🤯
This sounds amazing. Now I just need to obtain a bass and learn to play it!
Awesome demo!!!!
Hi
Are you planning on doing a review featuring the Sandberg supreme Cali 35th ? I’m not seeing much on this bass.
Thank you for all you do.
marvelous! Please add the link to purchase your bass.
You folks do such fun and creative videos. Keep up the good work!
Awesome content guys
I was really impressed by the sounds but holly molly is this pedal expensive xD
Can this pedal trigger a synthesizer through midi?
Just tried out their plugin. Really interesting stuff.
Sir, as amazing as this pedal sounds, your accent is even better. 😂😂😂
Eventide makes great sounding stuff, but their effect stacking functionality is really lacking. I have a zoom CDR70 that cost me 90€ and it lets me stack 3-5 effects no problem. I've been able to emulate complex and expensive pedals with it just by being creative
Yep an HX stomp is way less and I can stack 7 or 8 blocks of effects depending on if your using amp/cab
Hi Gregor, considering the huge price tag, how much is this pedal really tailored for bass guitar?
Some of your samples actually featured "bass" in their names, or are these rather exceptions?
In this quality range there are no categories anymore. This is made for all instruments. You can build your own patches and make it a bass pedal
My H90 blows all the pedals I owned out of the water. Stunning sounds and capabilities.
That phaser is a killer tone
Ah, great stuff, I just wished Lars had continued to showcase more stuff, at least for an hour or so 😁
We‘ll do another video with lots of sound samples in a month or 2
Send it over to Remco's Groove Lab ! It will be in good hands !
When is Darkglass going to make a true mulitFx? The exponent amp head but in a stomp box?
My microtubes gives me 90% of what I need but I just want a anutowah, flanger, phaser, octaver, reverb, chorus… for that one rare song that needs one.
Great playing by Lars as always.
I love the eventide sounds. I want to get this pedal, but I'll still wait until hopefully the price drops a bit or I get some more money 😆
You know Lars is really into it when he makes the "smelly fart" faces.
😷
I've had one on "Back Order" with AMS since November 18th, 2022, so don't hold your breath!
£1000 bar a pound on Andertons in the UK I’ll give it a miss till secondhand time !
The Stargazer sounds finished with a very Blade Runner like sound.
Can confirm , the pedal is awesome!!!
For £730, you could buy a laptop and hundreds of bass specific (this pedal is non-specific) plugins.
What's more, you can avoid buying the whole farm when you only need the chickens.
This kind of pedals are great on paper, but how do you use them in the context of a band? I don’t know, maybe I am not interesting enough 🤣 but that’s why I sold my future impact after a few months
My band's debut album features lots of similar sounds, including shimmer reverb, stutter delay, octave fuzz and more. All played on bass
@@ileutur6863 then I guess it doesn’t fit the kind of music I do. I don’t know how to use delay on bass without it being either imperceptible or mudding everything up
@@Pesso86 Yeah delay is tough to make work, tap tempo helps alot but the music has to have the space for it too.
The kind of band you're playing in definitely makes a huge difference, I play in an indie/alt band where I get to use tons of cool effects and a metal band where doing that would just get weird looks from the guitarists
Oh yeah. I can see myself with this on my stingray bass, NED WAV upright bass, and my Hohner B2A Fretless. Sounds great to my ears! Lars makes it VERY CONVINCING!😌🎶👍🏾
THX so much! Atb, Lars 🙂
Great vid again lads! But for a thousand pounds I would expect this pedal to be better than what it is
I see the name Eventide and I know I can't afford it.
Yep. I need it
Very nice 👍
i enjoy these gear vids but... can you share some of the things you don't like about the product? the pros are cool but it's only fair to discuss the cons too
If there's something I don't like I'll always mention it. In this case I don't have a single complaint.
the price is the only „con“. it is expensive.
Great shit guys.
The best pedal for playing NIN
Loving the variety of the videos on youtube for this pedal. Not just guitar, but synth, bass, and even harp!
I NEED the Bass the World signature bass. I know where my tax return will be going this year.
Price is a nono. for 1000€ you can buy a car full of effects, multis...Looper, almost a small ministudio / small mixer / interface... :D sorry, i like expensive stuff but... :D
I just want the knife drop sound 😮
Is this the Hans Zimmer Basspedal?
That should be the title of this video
I have never considered myself interesting, but that is me.
JUST KEEP IT GREGOR
Damn… this pedal is more expensive than my MIM Fender P! It does sound fantastic though.
A Sandberg Bass the world signature ?! What ?!
here's our demo: czcams.com/video/MYqc2e7DAJU/video.html
Gregor dressed for a church gig.
😂
If i was plaining in band like royal blood yes
BASS!!!!
I might use one of those sounds one time in one song, at one gig, then get told we’re never playing that song again. If you have the money spare then go for it, but seriously… If you’re a bass player you do not *need* this pedal. Whatever instrument you play, unless you’re in a crazy experimental ambient type band, you don’t *need* this pedal. Most people honestly would be better off spending the money on lessons.
💯 %
This pedal is definitely NOT a must have or essential pedal!
Also that price! 😮
I might have to spend 1200€ for that "Knife Drop" preset alone... 😮
You can get that sound on the ElectroHarmonix mono bass synth pedal- €120. AN HX stomp makes all the sounds showcased in this video. Nice pedal.
Yeees, must buy this pedal! Work more. Now I play less bass. Sh**, work less, play more. Oh my, lost focus on buying this pedal. Work more... urg ...flatlined X)
yeah great but 1.5 K better start my own channel lol
Not for $900.
Really cool....just too bad it is $900ish
after owning a few of their pedals in the past, i have a strict personal rule not to buy anything from eventide.
it's not that they aren't great pedals that do lots of cool stuff.
no, the problem is, you plug one in, and begin to play... then you look up, and 3 hours have gone by and all you did was make weird sounds but no actual music. yeah, they're alot of fun. but for me, i'm gonna pass.
It all sounds great but what band wants its bassplayer to sound like that. I mean it is fun to playaround with this. But price and usefullness is just worlds apart.
You’d be surprised… some bands play very creative music where everything is possible 😉
I completely agree , this pedal for it’s crazy price is a novelty pedal.
Real world usage not a chance ….
Experimental projects sure…
Hard pass on this for me! I would rather just buy a an actual synth or moog keyboard to play with on stage … but hey it’s just my opinion!
TMM
Another pedal for bedroom players noodling into the void - ... for 1000 bucks.
let me guess, all the cool gigging bass players just use a P bass with nothing?
Both comments made my day. Thanks guys!
@@ileutur6863 Sunburst, Torts, Flats. I'm a bedroom player and like to noodle pedal stuff for hours. But 1000 bucks? Weehooo 😀
Всем смотреть обзор от Зилкова на канале нескучный сауд
Way too expensive
Sorry... don` t need this pedal, enough is enough...😅
Ah come on guys... saw the slicer boss video, bought the slicer.. now looking at this one, must have! STOP MAKING THESE VIDEOS!!
Don't you ever review realistic prices gear
😂 "considering myself an interesting musician" I stopped watching at 0:27
fun to whom it may concern 😁 ... or was boring the word ?
Sorry, no buy i don't!
Sorry, but no
How much is a kidney worth these days?
Aww, don't be sorry mate, just send us all the money to but this over-priced pedal and we'll all be good.
