Recently, I have finished my Manali-Leh-khardungla cycling expedition. We gained an approximate elevation of 10120mt incline and a 6770mt decline within 500km. The Highest Motorable pass in the world Khardunla is 5,602 m (18,379 ft).
The same story as shown in this video unfolded during our ride. We were 3cyclist, other 2 cyclists had strong muscular power. they both were very confident at Manali and I was the underdog. On the first 2 days usually, they were riding 4-5km ahead of me. I was riding at my pace while enjoying joyfully the beauty of the Himalayas without any competition in mind.
Oxygen level becomes thinner on the uphill in every km. On the 3rd day, they tried and were breathing heavily. Unfortunately, on 3rd and 4th day they weren't able to ride and had put their cycles in the support van. I was breathing and riding normally at that height in thin oxygen level. And was becoming more and more stronger on each pass. Both had terminated their ride at Leh.
Very Smoothly I completed Khardungla height alone.
Angmardana and Shambhavi Mahamudra has given me the power of breathing and the strength, I was practicing them during the ride too. It is an awesome tool.
Thanks to my guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I really experience this. In this video i am someone who is chasing that yogic guy. With me the guy was Harish (from Trichy). We are climbing Velliangiri(elevation 1778m, Coimbatore) Mountains on March this year. We are 3 of us. A Guy name Arun also with us . Harish doesn't break a sweat till we reach top of the mountain but me and Arun are just huffing and puffing till we reached the mountain, ditto as in the video. That day I realised the power of Yoga and I started now, not Angamardana but simple aasanas. This video reminds me the Journey, all the visual come across my eye. Harish Anna is the only Guy who enjoy and cherish the Journey but the other two are just able to make the mountains, not really able to enjoy that path. Thank you for this video 🙏

I must have watched this video 8 times by now. Rather, since yesterday .. I just loved it.... and it kept reminding me of one of our Isha meditator friend (name Pullu) who went bicycling till khardungla pass (Manali - Leh - Khardungla route) which is the highest motorable road .... he was with few other like minded friends.... he says on our WhatsApp group that a few of these were gym goers (and these gym goers had written him off at the onset of the expedition) .... But they instead, gave up soon...
Pullu went on and on.... he practiced angamardana even during this trip (the gym goers would watch him do it, they thought he was doing 'some type of yoga'), and Pullu was the only one who kept going stronger and stronger despite the thinning air.... at the end of the expedition, the gym goers asked him to teach angamardana to them and he asked them to learn from a Isha Hatha Yoga teacher..
then he ended by saying that shambhavi mahamudra that he learnt in the Inner Engineering programme of Isha and angamardana helped him do that.. and he thanked sadhguru who bought these practices to us to learn... his name is Rajesh pullarwar... we address him as pullu... I have asked him to share his experience here... but could not wait till he did...

Nice. As Angamardana stretches the sinews to the fullest extent it gives us different kind of resilience.
Sinews are the fundamental fabrics which hold skeletal system (bones) and muscles together.
If we build muscles beyond a point, body tends to fall asleep more as too much work needs to be done just to maintain that muscle mass.
But if your fundamental fabrics are strong, it keeps you fit for life so you can handle anything. Like those Nepali women who weigh only around 45kgs and yet lift around 60-70 kgs load up the hill !
I've also been doing Angamardana for one and half months now. It makes us feel lighter and increases our flexibility and by the end it gives energy boost instead of exhausting us ! Can't wait to see what it does for our body in 9 months time :)

      www.ishayoga.org/Schedule/Yoga-Programs
As it is powerful practice, it's best leant properly under guidance of trained teachers.
And it's life time investment. You pay once, and can do these at home, beach anywhere, all you need is your body and 6 by 6 space. Also, once you've attended any Isha program, you can attend the same program anywhere else as a volunteer for free to revise in case you forgot some part or to give back :)

Namaskaram brother ! Beautifully narrated and directed with pinch of light humour as well , loved it ... And the best thing was the humility which u showed being strong. every person who's from isha and is stronger by the things we do needs to be humble, polite about it and keep our culture out of pride.
