    I thought the Gray and Reds were 97 and 1/2 and didn't have the snorkel air intakes and flaps for water intrusion, but lowered your top speed. I had a purple and red 98 that didn't have it and it outran the 98 and 99's with the snorkel intakes.

    Was out there yesterday! So choppy especially under the bridge and some good swells on the beach side. Still had a blast tho. Hopefully going back later in the summer when it's warm.

    Add foot wedges and racing sponsons and it'll stick right in the water all the time. Transformed my GSX Limited.

    • @brianlgkennyable
      @brianlgkennyable Před 2 lety +1

      Sponsors and a intake grate with scoops totally changed my 96 gts. In choppy water it just skips across the top of the little waves. Best mode to improve handling

      Get some foot wedges in there and you're able to push it even further, easier

    I love that limited also until the engine blew. It's all still stock sitting there needing needing a complete crate engine. It blew the bottom the middle and jacked up the top end of it also was nothing to save. Should I go with the stock or might as well get something already souped up like yours? That limited at stock performance I was not able to hold on long time on full throttle. It's a beast my hands will be shaking.

    • @gallienPerformanceandCoatings
      @gallienPerformanceandCoatings  Před 3 lety

      you can rebuild that engine if the cases are clean , have the cylinders bored bigger and get an oversized piston kit, these really haul ass when they are big bore

      I just rebuilt mine top and bottom end new everything. It's a 1050cc now. I have a second battery in it volt meter head light blue lights in my drain plugs a mor aggressive impeller and a totally rebuilt jet drive with a Solas I peĺer and a intake grate with scoops. Bought it for $2000 and put 2000 into it. Only original parts other then the shell is the gas tank, handle bars and stuff like that. New stator oil pump oil tank and everything. I got a code reader/ tuner that I have been told I can remove the reve limiter with and a speedometer that's GPS so it's very accurate

    Hey mate, I’ve just bought a 2001 seadoo bombraider gs. It’s needing a new throttle cable. Do you know where is best for parts for that year ? Thanks

    • @gallienPerformanceandCoatings
      @gallienPerformanceandCoatings  Před rokem

      hey brother, your best bet for a cable would probably be www.shopsbt.com and search they have the cable you need , goodluck!

    I just bought 97 seadoo gsx bombar. Off a friend, he had something on the looked like top exhaust of engine welded just as prevention said known this model those spots he welded became problematic. I'm excited to get in ocean in jersey. Question is 125 hours alot. It's my 1st pwc also is all I need to ride w/o any legal issues a safety boating course certificate/permit?? Apologize so many questions just stoked to put it in and go but want to be not hassled have Bill of sale and it's last inspection was 2018. So I'm js alot of people told me including a coast guard they don't bust balls unless acting like a hole or drinking and ripping. Any advice thanks from the rookie guy anxiously wanting to drop and cruise . Protective gear obviously. Lmk and ty blessed week to yall

      I have a 96 gts with no hour meter but it runs like new. Just bought it last summer so don't know if top end is original. My gtx is a 2000 and had 365 hours on the original engine. It's got 0 on it now. Unfortunately I need to brake it in so I can't go over 40 kph for the first tank of gas. I put another gage in it the recorded hours and km by GPS so I'll always know how many are on boat and how many ard on rebuilt engine

      i have the raves valves drilled to run off the engine exhaust and not the solenoid (solenoid and lines are deleted) there is a video you can search about doing the mod

    • @gallienPerformanceandCoatings
      @gallienPerformanceandCoatings  Před 3 lety

      call it what you want my friend. its a +2mm kit on stock sleeves. i later found out it equates to 993cc i believe.

    • @gallienPerformanceandCoatings
      @gallienPerformanceandCoatings  Před 3 lety

      haha and for what its worth, at +2mm stock sleeve is pretty thin haha. still holding up though and i'm not easy on it. 60+hrs on it so far. love it for a 20+ year old ski.

      @@gallienPerformanceandCoatings yeah you would have to machine cylinder and resleeve to get that 1,050, you would need 4mm overbore to do it, I've dealt with engines that have been resleeved and its a huge waste of time and money, I've seen sleeves completely fracture at the lip on top of cylinder and drop right into the crankcase/crankshaft. the most i would bore a 947/951 oversize is ..040 or 1.00mm over, dependability suffers after that

    • @brianlgkennyable
      @brianlgkennyable Před 2 lety

      A 5% bore adds 47.50 cc so with 5% bigger cylinders bored 5% is 1046cc
