Lemx is a recent addition to the list of great CS Surfers. Starting with bhop, overcoming injury, and learning a whole new movement game, he has amassed 12 world records on KSF alone. Additionally, lemx has conquered some of surfs hardest challenges, including the elusive surf_before bonus 1, which had never been completed in the history of surf.

Another thing regarding 64t, you also have a larger hit box on csgo than css, so that makes map even harder

Awesome video as usual! Thank you so much for making these! I wish more ppl would cover surf/bhop timer in cs. I remember seeing Niyhm, Morning, Sinsa, insane, all surf super smoothly and always wondered how tf they did it, to find out it was through thousands of hours of practice. Keep up the awesome content!

Ps: I Don't agree with 3klicks "conclusion" on tickrate a single bit! While I love his nerdy content I think that one in particular has done more harm than good for the community. The unscientific "study" he's referencing done on a laggy home server over crappy British internet connection is questionable.. at best! The difference in gameplay between 64 and 128 is in unquestionable. I've never met a high skilled CS player that couldn't till the difference between the two, ever.
Sorry to go off on a tangent, but that particular vid really gets to me :)

loved the video. as a csgo surfer, I always saw CSS 66tick as harder so I never truly gotten into it. I might need to go back and really grind it out now that I hear I had a higher edge than I gave myself credit for on 64 tick, getting to top 300 on ksfgo
The actual surfing part might be slightly easier (if you are good enough to any of the differences to actually matter) but the competition is much harder

Ah KSF, I used to surf on those servers in CSS. Good times. Interesting that he used high sensitivity being smooth, I used the same due to lack of mouse pad space and generally being used to just using wrist movement.
Last I check KSP on source was dead but maybe CS2 revived it for the time being. Ill have to check. I miss surfing.

My suggestion is just playing utopia till you can understand the mechs. Granted I’m not good but consistency is key
Sensitivity is all based off your mousepad and mouse. Are you on a speed pad, control pad. Is your mouse heavier or lighter that all changes whether you require lower sens to be smoother.
do some research on KZ or kreedz. it is the amalgamation of all the movement gamemodes like surfs, bhops, ladders, and being smooth, precise and technical. it is probably one of the hardest gamemode to master as u need to master all the other types for it.

if you get wrist pain cause of your sense is high, and then put it lower
then you have to work even more with your arm, and wrist. you need
even higher sense and less movement. that is what you want. lowering
sense has the exact effect you are already having.
I think most surfers use low sens with only their arms and not wrists so wrist pain is not an issue at all
If you want to be good at surf you need a low sense and large mousepad
@@aa2048 Shoulder pain however, is. If I surf for more than an hour, I need to take a break to relax it. And I am on a fairly high sens (0.8 800dpi)

ah, bonus levels are extra levels attached to maps. they're often made by collaborating mappers. you can access them easily with a command like "/bonus 1" or /b 2.
theres a culture of some bonus levels being SUPER hard, particularly the "4th" bonus of many maps
I can't be smooth no matter how hard I try for some reason my hands like to shake a lot, its very lightly but its to the point where I can't exactly aim my cursor efficently
same, nerves will always spike. for me lowering my sensitivity to 800 .6 was really the key. Even if ur shakey you can still execute at that low of a sens.

I'm a high sens surfer that has gotten world records in various surf communities. This is also like the 4th time a WR popper was found to be high sens. Maybe we should stop talking about sens?

How do people know a map is even technically possible when nobody has finished it?
Usually they have "map testers" that will run the map using saveloc, which is just a save state plugin.
In extreme cases like Anubis we need a TASer. Batman who's linked in the description is the best surf TASer right now

GO surf just feels worse. GO 85 tick feels like CSS 66 tick. Do you have any video about why?
Not on that topic specifically, but GO has larger hotboxes and slightly lower tickrate
