    got mine two weeks ago. and it's pretty nice. it does fit tight on the forehead. all I did was push on the metal.and it widened it. and I massaged the forehead part and it fit alot better. very good quality. and good vision when sparring. I think it's an exelent purchase

    The pressure that you feel on the temple of your head can be relieved very easily. Lay the headgear facing up on a flat surface, and with both hands open push down on the metal bar. This will expand the width of the headgear and eventually mold it to fit your head. You may have to repeat this process couple times to the fit of your liking.

    The Fight Sport head gear is one of the best head gears out there to me. That's the only one that I wear!!!

    I got this headgear bc of this video I thought it was good but he's right about the forehead part it hurts its like pressing on It.I spared with it and all I was thinking about was taking it off, it protects good from punches, but its not comfortable I'm returning it.hope it helps!

    Also, would smaller, MMA style gloves be able to make it through the front space?

    So have you decided on a headgear? I was going to get this or the rival one but based on your reviews I may get the title full face headgear. Please let us know which one you've decide on!

    @Itsmum3316 it actually did a good job protecting the nose considering it has a rather large open area. We tried getting a glove through while sparring but unless you are getting drooled REALLY hard with a sraight, you would be fine I think. There is one made by Cleto Reyes that is specifically for nose protection. Hope that helps. Sux about your nose man

    Does it make you more susceptible to hooks? Would catching a hook on the face saver part cause your head/neck to twist more harshly?

    @kimfj123 yes I went with the Fighting Sports one. I love it!

    to this day would you still recommend it?

    How well does it protect the nose? I mean I'm sure you can still feel pain when you get hit in the nose region right? I have a nose prone to injury after two surgeries I've had from sparring without headgear.

    Does it compress to the front of your face? I hate headgear that does that. Obviously your side cheeks will be compressed but does it compress around your laugh lines?

    I used one of these types of headgear and it still hit my nose. The glove didn't go thru but the bar raised up and hit my nose

      @Robinson496 Před 4 lety

      Meant to protect your teeth, you should get a bar guard if you don't want to get hit in your nose lol

      Todd Novak so you wouldn't recommend this headgear because it's too tight ? ringside is always a lil tight I ordered some bag gloves and they where so tight I couldn't wear them I stuffed some tshirts in them and let them sit for two days then after that they where great do you think that same method would work with this headgear?

    are those protections really effective to prevent brain traumas and what they mean on the long term?

    • @chrisotero9639
      @chrisotero9639 Před 7 lety

      Tji chetau No, no headgear can really prevent brain trauma

    • @mr99boxer30
      @mr99boxer30 Před 6 lety

      Yes, the more padded the headgear and if you use 16 or 18 ounce gloves will help to prevent injury and being punch drunk. I have been boxing 20 years with no punchy effects. I get a little dizzy but that's all.

      Maybe because they have white collar jobs where it's unacceptable to come to work with their face all fucked up ever think of that? Not everybody that trains are pro fighters
