It can charge while powered, but I have found that with most nanlite products, that it only extends the life, not makes it constant. It also depends on the power setting At 100% no. But at 40% you will get much longer run times. So no, it won't run forever plugged in, but it will run for longer periods of time. This is also dependent on power settings as well.

I think so. the Nanlite has lenses overt the LEDs which magnifies the lite.

Do you mind sharing with you are using for your backlight on the wall?
In this video I believe it is the 2' Luxceo wand light. Now I use an Aputure B7c and 2 Rotolight Neo II's lighting up the corners.
I am also curious about comparing apps. nanlite site shows an app, but it looks to be Chinese language only
