Fantastic. Altered Beast is one of those OG Megadrive classics. Really interesting to see how 1 channel does so much of the heavy lifting in this one, though like always, they all add their own flavour to the finished track.
Really listening to the music, it reminds me a lot of Comix Zone. You ever done any Comix Zone stuff? Some great music there, the title screen track is punchy but short, and the first real level music is just... amazing. Sounds like an actual alt rock song.

I'm pretty sure early Mega Drive game drivers couldn't use the DAC and FM at the same time, which is why the music paused whenever there was speech in Altered Beast and Golden Axe, etc

Man, the second part of this song is so beautiful but Altered Beast as a game is so damn short, you're getting to the boss in like 30 seconds.
...Good thing this was the original pack-in game with the Genesis, boy would it be awkward paying like 50 bucks for a game that lasts ten minutes.
