Your point is correct. Recently I've watched the movies with my family. I read the book, they didn't. They didn't understand a LOT of important things, so I was giving explanations all the time. Without it they wouldn't get even half of what was going on.
i completely agree. it was almost an unbearable watch the first time with my gf because i just had to keep pausing and giving context or explaining what was really going on
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Thank you so much for making this video! :-) So glad to find someone else who agrees and made it even more clear why this is one of the worst Harry Potter movies (how In the name of Azkaban can anyone call of the best movie, especially after watching your video here?!), And I can add you to the list of me and movie flame As being the only people who actually have an issue with Dumbledore tapping Ron’s Bandaged leg, which I actually think is worse than the scene in Goblet of fire! Please do more videos on this for the other Harry Potter movies and other similar kinds of movies like this! :-)
First time seeing your channel, I'm autistic and im so sorry if you feel im calling you out im not i just have a feeling when i see Harry Potter heads talk exactly how i talk about Harry potter, only the first four books were written when the movies started and that highly influenced the story ... I'll shut up now but im 100% on prisoner of Azkaban i say this on every reaction i watch
Thank heavens Steven Spielberg didn't get involved, he wanted to cast the American child actor Haley Joel Osment as Harry, have Spielberg and Dreamworks combine a couple of the books together and have it all be animated. This went against what J.K. Rowling wanted with live action films of each book and an all British cast. I have tons of problems with the films, but I'm eternally grateful they didn't involve Spielberg.
I hadn't heard any of those things at all. Don't think it could have been Dreamworks though because WB already had the rights and Rowling was given full veto power so even Spielberg couldn't do what she didn't want. However, I am fully on board with animating Harry Potter. That video is coming soon.
Thanks for putting into words the reasons why I hated the movie initially, I haven't reread the books since and Gary Oldman and David Thewlis's performance made me like it now. I think that people who adapt all books rely on their audience having read the books it was the same with LOR which put me off reading the books again and I reread them alot as I got the books in school which was quite a lot of years before the movies came out. I did watch the 1st Harry Potter movie before reading the book but it was a year is a long time before the story continues and I was impatient so I got the books and read them before I watched the movies (a big mistake) which I seem to think after the 2nd weren't as faithful to the books, missing great chucks of relevant information and changing much of the story. There is only one book that I didn't like after reading it and it wasn't a Harry Potter book, I usually go into a film blind and if I really like it I will get the book as the book is usually a hundred times better, if I have read the book 1st then I am inevitably disappointed. Thanks for the video.
Personal opion of movie 3 book readers hate it for all these reasons and the new director wanted amazing visuals bare minimum details cause by now they could produce anything Harry Potter movie and that's what this is the director manipulated jkr to letting him take too much liberty's I feel this way about the entire series in the movies amazing visual greatest story ever but the 8 movies is barely the cliff notes version
Cantrips kinda be used out of school like light, druid craft and Harry hasn't cast a spell higher than a cantrip til now in this world a sorcerer and a wizzard are the same thing well based on the students back ground we know Harry can just do reactions spells but here he is year 3 of dealing with an unknown reason, cast a non cantrip spell the patronus even to Hermione thinks is an advanced spell, I place the charm at lvl 5 spell level which would be when Harry would graduate age ? Hate thus movie cause fans don't know the importance of this book
Did work tail dirty too they kinda portray him too much "rat" and he has some kind of humanity when is legit a ROUS if wormtail back story was there he might be the most evil of the villains I mean we know who the most evil is and the top 2 have noses just saying

Adaptations to live actions no nos 1 Alan Moore, ask him why
Gotta disagree with Chamber of Secrets being a slog, but I’ll say Philosophers stone kind of is.

ITS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE STORY BUT NEVER MENTIONED IN THE MOVIE, THE PAPER IS SHOWN BUT NOT THE IMPORTANT PART!!!
I don't agree with making crookshanks a big muggle cat with no story at all
i call this one harry potter and the crappy movie.
