Carousel: The Worst Musical Ever Written
Wretched. Horrid. Putrid. Nauseating. Gross. Terrible.
These are just a few of the words I'd used to describe this musical.

Harry Potter and the Film With Required Reading
I've always loved this movie, first saw it when I was a young boy and fell in love with a very young Shirley Jones. The song "If I Loved You " is a deeply moving and lovely ballad filled with wondering about love. I highly recommend this old musical, it's reminiscent of a bygone time when actual love songs were written and sung.
I saw the stage show back in the 60's when I was very young. Performed by our very excellent light operatic society. I thought it was magical, perhaps you have no imagination and a corrupt mind, it was written in far more innocent times.
I was in this show when I was 14. It's soooo cringe.
I like some of the songs but I've never liked the movie or the story.
It's a fable. It's musical. Beautiful music. Beautiful story. ( See earlier mention of fable), somewhat of a happy ending (see fable again). Songs that have been sung since the opening and will continue to be sung as this score is considered a classic of musical theater. It has been reprised many many times and will continue to do so. Might I suggest some coffee and view again as something that is not factual.
What exactly is beautiful about the story?
Redemption (fable)@@thecornerkid402
I’ve never seen Carousel, and … WHAT!?! I can’t … I … it’s possible for someone to hit you and it not HURT. Um. No.
Guardians of the Galaxy is an example of a four humors quartet where the clown is in charge. Gamora is the leader, Drax is the thinker, and Rocket is the rebel.
If you have never heard of this movie, you either don't have parent(s) or the ones you have failed you miserably😂😂😂 One of my all time faves!!
Agreed. Feel free to check out the longer video to hear me gush for 20 minutes.
i call this one harry potter and the crappy movie.
you mentioned Dominic Noble taking down his hp videos. would you mind explaining what the "stupid reasons" were?
8:31 I've seen ads for new Netflix movies on CZcams, but they're always long and skippable, making it tempting to skip them.
Would you also see that it is people consuming other non-media stuff and things they shouldn’t be like alcohol which is very very expensive that’s also contributed to this? Think about how much money in general, movie consumption or otherwise That you would save if you gave up something like that, EH?
Some people are busy with their lives, while others waste time procrastinating. This is especially true for Zoomers, who often have short attention spans and are heavily engaged with TikTok.
I get a little bored with the franchise in general because it lacks mystery. There is literally no question you can formulate about Harry potter that isnt explicitly answered directly in the dialogue or events of Harry Potter. Once youre done with it, the most you get out of it is reference material. The fact that the entire thing wraps up tightly with a neat ribbon on top with no loose ends or open questions worth asking makes things a bit dull. I will be wondering where Yoda is from, for the rest of my life. And thats way more fascinating than knowing everything about him.
RIP Robbie 😭gone but never forgotten.
I did briefly call attention to that in the longer video. He seemed like a such a kind man.
Dudley pigging out in the background is always funny 😂 on his brother bd cake too
It’s not that Dudley knows about Hogwarts, it’s that he doesn’t know and can’t believe who would be writing To Harry. Also Dumbledore does in fact pop into the scene, it’s just done a lot more subtly; You can see him appear out of thin air, I’m actually quite shocked you take such a big issue with this when it’s actually even more than subley
Classic charm mindset challenges of life stability ❤
Double rainbow all across the sky
What’s funny to me, younger crowds won’t get the “it’s a double rainbow all the way across the sky reference” which is sad because that’s a funny video.
your on something
Make this vertical and upload it everywhere. It’s so funny. Get your deserved attention
Thanks for the suggestion. Here you go. czcams.com/video/cqU1JZS1LP8/video.html
This wins the internet
Never seen anything but the Cinderella with brandy and i hated it as an adult so I'm looking forward to this.
My high school did that version and I hated it.
I randomly came across this video with only 80 views on it, and this was incredibly entertaining! I’m quite looking forward to seeing what the rest of your work looks like!
Thanks. I hope I don’t disappoint.
oklahoma is based on a previous play called Green Grow the Lilacs. I recommend checking it out because it is very good and you can really see how you go from Green Grow the Lilacs to Oklahoma. It is very interesting because it was written by Lynn Riggs who was an indigenous playwright.
This is just sacrilege
I understand the sentiment.
Stainless steel is needed for the flux dispersal when traveling through space-time.... DeLorean is perfect... or a Cybertruck. The DeLorean motor company still exists btw 🙂
I forgot about the steel point. It still exists but… it gets complicated. The car was iconic in ‘85 but it’s only remembered now because of the movie, which, on a meta level, wouldn’t exist in this new series. But you are right, the stainless steel would be a good reason to bring it back.
@@thecornerkid402 It does get complicated to say the least, lol but a Cybertruck would work for me... I can afford for my Tesla stock to go up 🤣Very thoughtful, fun video! Thank you!
We're almost at a point where in any "remake" a trip to the past would have to be over 30 years. Because would a trip to 2000 be as interesting as a trip to the 50s was in the 80s? Or as the 90s would be today?
Hmm. Interesting point.
Honestly, sounds pretty tight, I want in as a human consultant, I’ll consult on how to keep the execs at bay and avoid them sucking all the creativeness out of the show to push half assed messages and politics.
The artist name who did that fan art is called: Makani, simply google 'makani harry potter' to begin to see some of the amazing stuff she does!
I missed this comment. Thank you! Adding her name to the description now.
how was this in my recommended 😂😂
Couldn’t tell you.
man you have to make more hp videos! i really likes it!
Snapes theme could be a dark version of Lillys theme ore a melody that works as a duet with her theme so in the flashback we kan hear them playing together. (I have also been thinking about this)
Yes!!! I always wanted an animated Harry Potter series for the exakt same reasons. So happy someone else brought it up
I have thought about the series as well, not as thoroughly as you have but did come to the conclusion that animated would be better for a number of reasons. My biggest is the cost of your voice actors vs having some literal huge actors cast in rolls. Also something to consider that is apparent in the last Airbender animated vs live action series is that you can get adult voice actors with a better emotional range than most child actors have. We saw this failure in the casting of Ginny where the child actor was cast because they looked the part but never developed acting skills. Animation also saves on cgi for special effects. I thought through all of the points and only questioned the one about the software to age characters over a school year. My only thoughts were the cost associated with that and if it would be to costly vs the benefits but since idk how much that would cost I would go with it. I really like the ideas about the animation style. Absolutely perfect. My stray thoughts on an animated series are this : Develop a visual language for spells so as the characters get the wand movements correct and they are always the same colors. The only exception to my previous statement about big named actors is this…if possible use Jim Dales dialog/voice for Hagrid. Pay the $ to get him to let the studio use his voice in AI form if need be for the character. He is 88 I don’t think he would be around for the end. I myself actually wouldn’t shy away from filler if it makes sense and is well done. It would be fascinating to see hints of the twins taking advantage of the marauders map the first season without giving it away what it is. Lastly in the same vain, I think the source material missed some potentially awesome callbacks in the battle of Hogwarts. I don’t know why JKR didn’t have characters like Oliver Wood, and other student/teachers from Beauxbaton and Durmstrang show up in moments when all feels lost. It could give that battle a lot more epic-ness.
Those character illustrations are SPOT ON. I agree with all your points, you are not alone. Also, the Hook soundtrack should be added to your list, it's one of Williams most underrated gems that never gets enough credit.
I should say, and add to the description, that they are not mine. I came across them years ago and saved them because I liked them so much. I have no idea whose they are or I would gladly give them credit.
Also, yes. Hook is incredible.
I was about to try and message you to please give the artist credit. The artist is called: Makani she's done official work for Team Fortress 2 as well. @@thecornerkid402
Steve Kloves is the unslung hero of the movies, Especially if you actually read the Scripts, most particularly with half blood prince where there are a lot of things in there that he did not intend to have but we’re added on by David Yates. Why does everyone not like him? Again especially the further you look into it……
Yo mama
I hadn’t noticed there were so many falls in Disney movies. That montage was pretty funny 😂
My kids made me play it like six times. They thought it was hilarious.
Gotta disagree with Chamber of Secrets being a slog, but I’ll say Philosophers stone kind of is.
Yes first lassie movie
If you want night mares as a kid for whom the Bell tolls tipper gore hadn't stopped me from seeing that
By now the Looney tunes were making anti war shorts and are now ban by the people not to be mention but your about to get to abbot and Costello they are the highest paid actors of the war
Imo visual and story is what makes a movie and the actors I think at this time in history were a little over hyped confesson don't like Casablanca if it's on in the background i don't care just don't care for it
Way to many Sherlock Holmes in a century to mention confession I know more about data as Sherlock Holmes than i do anything eps
Vincent price did an absoult amazing 45 minute movie about the tell tail heard and it is amazing how micj it's the short story Vincent price is on the mount Rushmore of actors he is my golden buzzer of actors right now many more will come
