    Noise from 440 and other traffic has to be factor in these neighborhoods, particularly hearing trucks at night. These homes are expensive, especially at the current interest rates. The market will have to adjust at some point. Those who can afford the inflated prices will continue to build/buy, but those who own and live in the older ranches, who cannot afford to move, will stay. This will create a very hodgepodge look in this area. Thoughts?

      I agree on a lot of your comment but with this being one of the best locations in the Triangle, I believe it will continue to see tremendous turnover to new construction. To your point regarding those who cannot move, I fully agree with that. That being said, one of the things that buyers of infill homes like is the character of each neighborhood so they may appreciate the "hodgepodge look" rather than see it as a detractor.
