Sony RX100VII - Still a great compact camera 5 years after release.

The Sony RX100VII is still my favourite compact camera in 2024, in todays video I explain why.

The add- on grip is a must on this camera! I picked up a gently used Sony RX v( a) for a very good price and am amazed at the quality of photos that it takes . It is a perfect purse or pocket camera and it feels like a quality item in the hand.

I have a Mark III which I chose because of the 1.8 aperture. It does lack built in ND filters But I use it as a pocket camera when I do evening walks at a Marina to grab the wildlife in and around the docks where there is tower lights. It is an amazing little powerhouse. I am and have been very impressed with its capabilities. Thank you Bob.

I just brought mine in for some service as I cracked the rear screen and scratched the lens. Looking forward to getting it back as it's a great carry camera.

Bought mine in May of this year. New. Even though it’s 5 years old now and costs a lot of money I think this is the best pocket camera you can get. AF is stellar. The other brands really lacked in that department. It’s the perfect travel camera and shot most of my last vacation photos with the RX100 VII instead of my A6400. I do recommend getting the rubber grip.
