You have to time the auto sear. All the information is available online as well drill plates for placing the hole.

Well, technically you have 3 ways. Your sot7 manufacturing license, or your form 4 transferable form "Where you don't need a license" or just do it illegally. And pray to God, you don't get caught because they will screw you over for freaking the law.
Easier way to to start a company and have the company own it with the correct licensing. Trying to get one as an individual is near impossible and comes with more restrictions on what year the gun is and stuff

3rd position doesn't always mean full auto, you can get a 3rd position switch by dropping in a binary trigger

Thank you for the information. I've been saving to buy a transferable drop in sear. I was woundering if i can select from single to full. I might buy a m16 instead, thank you for the information.
The drop in sear will only allow you to shoot full auto. It eliminates your semi option and turns it into full auto. The M16 lower parts kit comes with the proper sear that will allow for semi and full. I hope this helps.
With a drop in sear, you can put it in any AR15 regardless of caliber I believe? I think that might be better
@@DSM-114 you won’t be able to shoot semi with the drop in. Also you must be issued a full auto weapon by a government agency to posses any of these anyways unless it’s a post machine gun “transferable” like you said.

@@itsneo1335if you’re talking about the original sear, it’s literally just a piece of metal that flops around. You need to have a mil spec BCG, the bottom of the bolt carrier is cut so that when it’s in battery, it will make contact with the sear, this pivots the bottom half of the sear away from the hammer causing it to release, the hammer needs a hook in the back to contact the sear. It really doesn’t even have to be super precise, if you know what you’re doing you can rough it out and then profile it down as needed.

When doing this to any AR you keep your mouth shut what you have or done to the AR/ that saying loose lips sink battle ships applies to messing with ARs turned full auto .

For people wondering, id say they probably have a type 07 FFL with a class 2 SOT. Which allows them to manufacture full autos. All together there are 3 types of SOTs class 2 lets you build them, class 1 lets you be an importer of nfa items and I forgot what class 3 does. Its expensive to all the license but still cheaper than paying 30k and up for a pre ban
You are right and wrong. Any one can make/build manufacture their own firearm. However they cannot LEGALLY sell that weapon without obtaining the right paperwork. Otherwise if you want to build a full auto gun for yourself to keep at home there is nothing illegal about it.
