- Hi everyone! Nobody ask but we are BACK at the Round Top Antiques Fair. Its my favorite place to go to because the people are so nice here and the dealers bring the most amazing pieces. Prices vary from piece to piece but generally there's some room for negotiation. Its also just the perfect place to come if you want to get into vintage and learn more about it. The whole experience is incredible.

Hi y'all! Yep, I'm a Texan, and I love how excited you get about our Bluebonnets! You mentioned Indian Paintbrush too... they're the tall hot coral beauties. You probably saw seas of both, as well as Buttercups... lovely pink cups full of yellow "butter". So happy you and Andrew were able to enjoy our spring wildflowers.
That beautiful little writing desk/secretary is such a find! Can't wait to see all of these new (old!) treasures in your home.

@RIXRADvidz: The longest part of the drive is getting out of Texas, I took the I-10Texas is a big flat state and I began to panic. I stopped at a mom and pop's store and ask "How much longer do I have to drive before I'm out of Texas?" "I have been driving for hours.!

i have a Mies Van DER Rohe Barcelona daybed ,( i had reupholstered in dark orange chenille corduroy) sitting against an antique french floor to ceiling tapestry from the 1600s & an enormous sandblasted outdoor garden urn. i smile every time i see it .

I would love to see a video where you “break down” roundtop - what are the types of pieces to get, who are typically buying, what places to go and avoid / price ranges you have seen. I went with my friend one year and some of the prices we saw were WILD maybe not for the average person shopping!

Love the glasses, WOW! I wanted that day-bed, you will find a place for it. I was tearing up because I don't do trips like this anymore. Bluebonnets is one of the best smelling wild flowers, Lady Bird Johnsons had those planted along Texas highway's. Enjoyed the video.

I love this video, I am like 45ish minutes from Round Top. I have gotten some great things there but haven’t been back to the antique fair in years. I think maybe I will plan a trip in the fall. So glad you got to visit in the spring. The Texas hill country is at its best in the spring

Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas. Indian Paint Brushes are the orange flowers you'll sometimes see growing with them.

I live just 30 minutes from Round Top and I’ve only been to one of their antiques festivals. It was too crowded for my taste. There are still a lot of permanent shops there that are open year round so I’m going to go on a weekday when it isn’t so crowded.

Forget-me-nots? That's what we have in the eastern area. Bluebonnets. They are low and small. Bluebells droop down from the top, they definitely look like little bells. I keep rewinding and stilling as try to take it all in at the event!

The blue bonnets were part of a program that Lady Bird Johnson, first lady to LBJ, did on the sides of all the main roads to beautify Texas. Snakes live in them and you are not supposed to pick the flowers. They look really pretty with the orange flowers that grow among them. I think they are called Indian Paint or something like that.
