Teardrop camper living is a beautiful thing but when you want to live and work from the road in your tiny home you need an additional room. I chose the Ironman 4x4 Awning and Awning Room after doing a ton of research. TBH I didn't see the Ironman 4x4 really advertised and it kind of showed up in my awning room search at the very end.
Between the awesome price point (shipping was free) and the great customer service Ironman 4x4 was a no brainer.
We tested out the awning room and tent in probably some of the worst conditions I will be in. High winds, wind gusts, a hail storm, and even a microburst all in one week.
This awning room and tent held strong even not being fully anchored due to being on a concrete pad.
    Things we love:
    The extra space duh
It is super easy to set up and take down solo
The fact that you still have a little privacy thanks to the side walls before the mesh windows
    All the windows and doors
The ability to purchase the extra poles for a good price
    The LED light
    Things we don't love
It is NOISEY if it is windy and not staked fully down
The piece that sits on the floor on the camper side (a fully unzipable panel would be cool
The space between the top of the awning and the camper ( I think water will get in without an additional piece of tarp)
Overall though I cannot recommend this awning and awning room enough.

Hi Michele! This is an awesome piece of equipment! Thank you very much for highlighting it!
About 15 yrs ago, I was contemplating living on a sailboat during an assignment to Tampa FL. Of course, space is limited on them. It became imperative that one considers the covered cockpit where one steers and such as a living space; to include putting an enclosure up to help keep the weather out. So….when in a teardrop, an extra 100 sq ft is earth moving!
I have 1 more flight day tomorrow to Palm Springs and Los Angeles and then back to Colorado. Then I will be pulling my travel trailer down to the Tucson area for 1.5 weeks. In addition to having fun and getting out of the winter up here, this is to check it out for potential living!

I had to laugh because I think it’s bigger than the teardrop 🤣 But yes it’s life changing!
Super exciting! It’s gonna be warming up down here! Our next adventure is actually down in Tucson with my parents! I hope you enjoy your trip!

You put the awning away very well, having the ARB awning I know how difficult putting it away by yourself can be. 😊

Well thanks! The first time was probably the most hilarious but there are still moments I wish I had another pair of hands to help!

Thank you! It’s a good ole Amazon find. Just a straw outdoor carpet. It cleans easily and folds super small for its size!
