It reminds me of me and my mom when I was about 6 and were driving the car. This song turned on and it immediately sparked my interest. I started dancing to it and it made me so happy. My mom looked back at me and started smiling, maybe even tearing up. This was also the same for Locked Out of Heaven. Me and my mom adored that song, and still do to this day. That was our pump-up song. When ever it was on, we used to scream the lyrics.

It’s painful because, I used to listen to Bruno Mars so much as a kid. Moreover like my toddler years (my mom always played his songs) This song was one of my favourites...along with other songs which I just enjoyed, I never really knew what the backstory and what the lyrics were about. I’m approaching 3rd year of high school, and I’m still a teenager rn, but it already hurts now that I realise and understand the true meanings of these songs. Man, this one gives me so much nostalgia and pain at the same time? It’s crazy. I never treated her right. I wasn't a good partner. Despite the fact I loved her so much I treated her wrong and that's why I broke up with her, so she could be happy despite the fact of how much I loved her. I still want what's best for her and for her to be happy. But God I miss her. It's been over an entire year and it still hurts sometimes even though i know the break up was for the best but I just wish I would have done better by her so I could still be with her.

I still regret and hate that I treated her that way when how much she loved me was so apparent and how great things could have been. But the best thing you can do is further yourself for her and whoever is next and most importantly yourself. You can't fix the past but you can be better for the futures. Be happy for her and her life but focus on yours. Learn from the experience to be the best man you can be. That's all we really can do. I wish you the best of luck, brother.
