Our First time experiencing the King Of The Hammers. We Camp in the Nelson Motorsports compound. Jess gets a ride in Fly Off-Roads 4400 car and we get some Johnson Valley wheeling in!

My buddy was ridin codawg in one of the race trucks. He posted a dust cloud pic looked just your vid. Man I wouldn’t be able to breathe after a hour. Pretty jealous of Jess gettin that awesome ride in that fly Offroad U4. Wicked to say the least. Great video as always you two!

Great video. You are right on with the dust. I quit going to KOH last year because the dust and traffic. You should really try and get out there on an off weekend. It’s so much better when there are only a handful of people there.
We Plan on a JV trip here in a little bit when it warms up and trying to plan another weekend for CB.

JV is certainly a Bucket List place to go when my little TJ grows up. Watched the live feed of the 4400 race, the guys referred to the dust as the Hammer Haze. The shot high up above the dust sure put the haze in perspective.
The hammer haze was real but just part of the experience. really wanted to make mention of it because I expected it. just not to this level.
Burke, it was Insane! I was so happy we invested in Goggles prior to KOH.
your rig would be the perfect set up for here on the east coast. awesome video stay safe guys.

I'm interested in how it will do, definitely nervous for mud and the giant gaping holes in our cab. Lol.
@@WRECKEDGEAR how much do you figure you have in your rig at the moment? Or i guess how much would a fella need roughly to get started, im thinkkmg the cage will be my hardest and most complex the rest is bolt on. Youve done an amazing job on your rig.

Awesome video man!! Been going for years now definitely face mask and goggles and warm clothes it can get cold & windy out there..... No tent's unless you want it to collapse when that wind comes up.....tent trailers are ok!!!

The dust was super bad this year with the lack of wind, wish I would've ran into you folks while you were at proving grounds pit we were right next to where converses chuck pit I didnt know that till the last day when I saw his jeep and the 24 hour hell and back stickers. But we had our hands full with broken race trucks and getting them ready again for the races. As always great content looking forward to the next one 🤙

Hallstyle71 4400 and Mark Welch 88 4900 we're all friends that met driving rc rockcrawlers and we all had some type of 1:1 background. Now we just take the shenanigans to the lakebed for a couple weeks

@@WRECKEDGEAR I did that on my KTM250XCW. The downhill exit at the top was sketchy 😳. On race day we saw several almost roll coming down in that silt. You have to experience it to understand how crazy it is there. In the best possible way 🤣

The dust was worse this year than others, due to no wind. Its either windy, or dust, no in-between it seems! LOL
It was wild! Grateful for the weather while we were there, though. Some previous years looked miserable.

It honestly depends on your personal preference, but these ones are still good for a bit. Nice and sticky for the rocks. 😊
With sticky tires they get better and better the more worn they get. Until they fall apart. CRAZY right!
150 square miles and you pile on tip on each other in the dust bowl. Drive 5 min past Hammer Town and don't deal with that. Ill never understand why so many people do this.

It's definitely a down side, but the positives of the event outweighed the downsides for us.
Especially if you have a closed cab! Lol.
Otherwise, Goggles were a life saver.
Yeah I know Rob want to be vendor there next year and set up the midnight metal works booth but I don't do crowds so I will probably not go. The crowds at trailhero started getting to me. I would love to go wheel there though

Our crawlers don't read well my friend. I highly recommend closing your eyes when my face is in the videos. It's less harmful to your eyes. And go check out our other videos that is 98% crawling! Thank you for the feed back!.
