Saints row is a beloved franchise that has fallen from grace, here i breakdown how from the 3rd installment things were going downhill to where we are now.

I think with the reboot they should not have made it a Saints row game. They should have gave it another name and started a new franchise with it. The problem with established IPs is you are limited with creativity. And what is the point of making a new game if it is going to be the same as the last. I think no matter what Volition did they would be damned if do, and damned if they don't.
I liked the first to games and 3 and 4 for different reasons, 1 and 2 had that gangster vibe 3 was about organized crime, and 4 was just plain fun,I don't. give a ruck how gangsta the franchise was I just wanted a fun open world crime sandbox in which I could do crazy fun things in, I will shit on the Reboot's story every fucking day of the week but god damn is the sandbox fun to play in. Also your comparison to GTA is also false as the game was originally about big name crime syndicates, then devolved into IV and V if you're going to make an argument about these two franchises pleae don't be fucking hias.
I would not want to see or play a saints row game where they kill off the saints and you play as there kid pulling a red dead redemption they should just fix the franchise they fucked up with all the nonsense or make a entirely new gangster game from scratch instead which I have a idea for combining different games and engines / who remembers the beginning to true crime 2 ? well take the style and attitude from that and combine it with manhunt 2 for the execution takedowns plus sleeping dogs gta 5 and fallout 4 for the character customization and loss of limb and extra gore to make a ultra realistic gangster style game
We will never see a game like manhunt ever again especially in todays climate, or sleeping dogs so that won’t work l. Also the main characters are not killed off except for the main who literally has no mainstay identity, there is a game that is inspired but it’s based off The warriors & Saints Row 2 since the weirdos gatekeep the Saints Row franchise so we can’t fix it.
