We all hit points in our workouts where we just can't become stronger without more knowledge. These are the points where we look to make simple changes to our routines to maximize time and efficiency to break into new levels of strength. Little do people know if you deal with lower back injuries, upper body injuries, or just and lull in progress this one simple trick is going to help break through to the next level!!!
We all know what a pulldown is, but how many versions of a pull down do you do at your local gym. We're going to take a guess here and it's the standard grip either forward or backward with the bar going straight to your chest. WELL DO WE HAVE SOME INFO FOR YOU!!! Your method isn't wrong in any way, but it's lacking diversity in movement patterns. Getting stronger doesn't mean doing the same thing over and over again until your body gives out. It's about changing the stimulus to the muscle groups in varying ways so your body can fight the law of accommodation. Now (for anyone who reads the description this is the secret to the sauce folks, so listen up) plug this mindset into every single movement you do in your gym routine. STOP DOING YOUR SAME WORKOUT EVERY SINGLE TIME. You need to change up your grip schemes, you need to incorporate tempos into your arsenal, be sure to limit straight weight and move more to speed days and chaotic training. Please apply these tips and tricks into your workout and if you want to look into more of how these weapons plug into your program subscribe and PAY ATTENTION!!!
Thank you to all of our subscribers, we genuinely appreciate your support!!!
ALSO if you want to reach the next level find out how to fuel your body. Matt and Stan Efferding went in on nutrition on another video we just released. You can see exactly what The Mountain and Brian Shaw were eating to dominate the Arnold Classic 2019! Watch the video here for more information:

Meth is good for preworkout. You really have to focus though so you dont make a scene, forget stuff or wander off.

Another great video! The Wenning warmup is brutal but I'm loving how I feel in the main lifts.

Great info as usual. Even if you already know that, it's a great reminder since most of us usually fall into the same warmup routine rut.

So excited that I found your channel Matt. I work with primarily general population yet I've been incorporating a simplistic version of this approach with the rotation of handles / bars / grip positions, etc. Looking forward to learning more from one of the top coaches in the game! Thanks for sharing.

My odd tricep issue- no problems when benching. None. Even max effort there’s zero discomfort or pain. When doing any lying tricep extensions I get a massive sharp pain across and just behind my elbow. Sometimes when I do a lot of warmups, the pain will cease, but sometimes not. Pushdowns- no problem. Kick backs- all good. JM press- pain. Rolling DB presses from the floor- PAIN!

    Great video!
How would you program triceps accessory work for a beginner with weak triceps and following a linear progression program ? Which exercise would you use ? What progression ? (General linear programs tend to be 3x per week following an A/B scheme alternating Bench and Overhead Press.)

If things vary to much they loose specificity i dont think they carry over as well as. But if you feel they help why not? But most likely not the best

Help me understand. 300 rep warmup and I would be spent. I do 300 rep workouts and thought I was doing good. I do high volume one week, and heavy low reps the next. I don't think I could do both.
