    I admire your tenacity in this! many would not even try to see what the problem was.. 10 out of 10.

    A good mechanic's quality to work hard not to just change the specific part. I like your spirit for hard working.
    Doesn't matter it worked or not
    Good going bro....

    Superb video, thank you so much for taking the time and sharing this. Shame that all too often it's a 'built to a price' item like this that fails, causing such a headache. In the UK, I spoke to a VW repair centre, who wanted over £100 to fix this issue. Armed with teh knowledge in this video and comments, I'm definitely having a go at repairing this myself. Thanks again my friend!

      My lock on my Tiguan was sometimes failing to open, I ordered a new one online for about £20 and it took me about 20 minutes to change it. Well within the capability of the average do it yourself person.

    I was able to fix it. I had exactly same issue. After watching this video, I opened up the lock and find out the white part (shaft) has broken so I used soldering iron to melt the broken area and added some strong plastic but you need to do very carefully that it doesn't loos the function, like small surgery operation. It's been a week already, works perfectly.

    I had exactly the same problem! Fixed the problem, but the shaft was damaged as well so still needed to order a new one. Could be easy fix is the sold the parts separately

    It's easy for polo owners to manage, for previous gen vento owners, we need to stop car and use key to open due to lack of mechanical release button

    More simple just put the spring ear in the metal part, it will hold better and will not brake

    Sir during my trip in skoda rapid 1.6 L tdi, got low oil pressure red light continuously, which goes only afer switching off vehicle but again came after a 100 km. There was no leakage of oil but found oil at lower mark on dipstick. What may be the probable cause for the same. Afer this happened three times vehicle driven is 200 km and no light again please advise your helpful comment.

    • @yourDIYneeds
      @yourDIYneeds  Před 2 lety

      Sir if the engine oil level is low , then i advise you to top it up , the low oil pressure light comes on when engine is not able to maintain a desired oil pressure for essential components like crankshaft and camshafts , it can lead to severe damage .
      Due to low oil levels , oil pump is starving for oil and maybe sucking air , thats why its happening
      Oil not only lubricates you engine internals , it also help to maintain the temperature of internals .
