- Another healthy low calorie recipe to keep you going through the winter. Goes well as an accompaniment instead of chips, and the rest of the family will enjoy it too, or you can just eat it on its own :-)
Just call me Hot Lips :-)
Hot Honey Roasted Swede. Um Yum Small Bum - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I really don't know how to start on this one.
First the obvious irony of someone in Norway watching a UK lady making a Swede (see what I did there?).
Apart from the fabulous recipe which I made this very evening, you are absolutely hilarious.
The presentation, explanation and witty comments are SO endearing, that's entertainment in itself.
So many so called cookery experts are super slick and explain things WAY too fast but you are just . . . . so down to Earth and genuinely entertaining.
Love the accent - I'm guessing Manchester or Burnley?
Either way, the most entertaining (and rewarding) ten minutes I have spent in a long time, I thank you!
If I may be so bold as to offer one piece of advice . . . . please don't ever stop posting, thischannel is solid gold.
I love this recipe. Thank you for sharing.
Watching from Kuwait 🇰🇼
Loved your enthusiasm and recipe. (: Can’t wait to try!
I made this for dinner this evening, it was delicious! I served it with scallops, I will definitely be making this again.Thankyou x
I love her..feels like a friend..definitely trying this!! Looks awesome
Now that looks good, could out that in as a veg selection on a roast dinner...yum yum
That looks really nice. I could almost smell it! xx
Theres a way to make swede sweet, without the use of a sweetning ingredient, place a whole swede, into microwave and cook for 15-20 mins, then cut the top off and scoop the cooked swede out, this makes it sweet like you get from sweet potato
Ahahaha love the broad Mancunian accent....from a fellow Mancunian...going to try this as I'm a diabetic type 2 and can't eat potato as watching my carb content...x
That does look delicious and it has all ingredients that I really like. A must try that Dawn. Thanks
you will have to let me know what you think :-)
Thank you, that proper made me laugh and it's looks so good. Swede on the shopping list this week. 👍🏾
Dawn! I love this! Great ideas for meals!
Hope you try them Dan :-)
Definitely going to try this next week, still trying to get rid of all the bad food in my house looking forward to starting Monday, thanks Dawn
No problem Julie, I just posted a vegetable curry that you will love ! Good luck :-)
Going to try this. I knew it was coriander you had forgotten. 🤣Going to try it though. Love neeps as we call them in Scotland. 😁👍
Add some onions and few more spices, ginger and tomatoes and you will have basically made a curry! Nice idea, love the way you explained the recipe, classic 👌🏼 I've never cooked swede before so will give this a go!
Awesome Republic of Ireland
Great recipe, i love your ending comment, " My lips are on fire with chillies, Mmmm!" Am going to make this dish today for part of my Christmas dinner. Guess what? i love chillies too!! Merry Christmas x
That looks really good. I must give it a try. Oh and in Canada we call it rutabaga.
Come for the recipe stay for the accent love it! BOSH!
Having roasted swede with sausages, beans in a spicy tomato sauce tonight 😋 👌 can't wait
Wheat free Banana pancakes for breakfast. Home made veggie soup for lunch and dinner - lots of cabbage and onions. Terrible wind for supper :). I think Debbie wants a word with you.
Swede = Turnip and cumin is pronounced cue-min :). That really does look delicious, I must give it a try.
Thanks I thought swedes and turnips were different things :-)
Swedes are the same as Rutabagas as we call them in the US. They are different than turnips @@dawnella2243
In Scotland a swede or neep is orange/ yellow in colour and a turnip is paler in colour. We tend to use swedes more, great in broth and goes well with tatties and haggis.
Good job
Looks lovely! - what oven dishes have you got please Dawn they're really nice :)
I got them from ALDI they were £6.99 for the 2
Thanks Dawn! :D
Looks great am making it now. BTW you are allowed to practice before making the video, and also prepare (ie shopping, stuck cumin etc). Judging by the crispy edges of half the pan you should turn it round half way through cooking !
Can u use spray oil u used on your omlette? That looked very nice dawn
Yes you could it would knock the calories right down Mandy
Loving how inexpensive your recipies are Dawn :) saving all these
everything i cook is cheap, easy and maximum tasty :-) if youre dieting you have to make things that satify you for months :-)
WOW... the sound on watching this is so loud. :( but you are SO entertaining!!!! :)
I think we call them turnips here in the US !!???
we have turnips and swedes might be the same Im not sure?
@@DiggerDawn It's a rutabaga turnip in the U.S.
Looks good, But whats a Swede? and what is Mark 6 in USA talk?? 😉
It is similar to a turnip but not so yellow. Gas mark 6 is 200 degrees celsius.
Where’s the onion?
