    Omg. I was praying u wouldn’t pound in the bearing or use the inner race to push it in 😂 smart man

      @JoniK1  Před 2 lety

      I did a mistake when I pressed those rotors though because I didn't have anything suitable for both races of bearing so I used only outer race from old bearing. But yes I know how to install bearings, been doing that for almost 20 years. Btw I have that same pic as my wallpaper if you check my new pc assembly video 😃

      @@JoniK1 u would be surprised on what happens. Listen. I just made a mistake yesterday. I was doing my steering coupler and forgot I was turn my wheel to get the other bolts. Long story short. My steering wheel ended up upside down 😂

      @@JoniK1 shit happens brotha. But I glad ya did it right. That’s very tough to get that one side on without pressing on the inner race. I mean sure if u would’ve thought a lot. U could’ve put something on the inner race to press on on the other side. But I mean. That’s a lot of thinking. Not every one thinks that quickly. Them kinda bearings are forgiving in my opinion. Not too much. I think it’ll be fine.

    If you MIG weld a hot bead around the INSIDE of the stuck bearing race, it will cool and SHRINK and tap out with ease.

    Las únicas partes que no cambiaste fueron los ejes y los engranes, los ejes giran centrados sobre los rodamientos, quizás los rodamientos tengan un poco de espacio entre las esferas y eso ocasione el movimiento y lo que puede generar el ruido. Por último, puede ser que los engranes tengan un poco de desgaste y no acoplen bien los dientes entre si.
    Buen video, saludos desde Venezuela

    Great job, great video.
    Roots superchargers, from my understanding, require very tight tolerances. The seals that got wore / damaged when the bearing went bad, are probably the reason why the boost is lower. Perhaps you can make or purchase new seals.
    I've never built one of these, but I assume that you need to use something to "clock" the rotors while you press the gears in place. It may be possible to do this my using shims or something, but I think the rotors need to be timed "clocked" very precisely to create a proper seal and opening for the inlet air. The timing of the gears doesn't matter as they are pressed on at any position on the shafts, but the position of the rotors is critical when the gears get pressed into place as that will determine the clocking / positions of the rotors relative to one and other.
    I'm guessing that the noise that you heard after building it was the seals touching the rotors due to the timing being a little off. I would guess that the factory probably has a jig that holds the rotors in place while the gears are pressed on.
    Cheers.

    • @JoniK1
      @JoniK1  Před 3 lety +3

      Yes that is possible. I marked the positions with utility knife before disassembly but of course that's not 100% accurate. I think it would work okay with new rotors but those aren't available separately any more. That's why I decided to use different supercharger instead, Eaton is so much quieter and works flawlessly

    What's up my friend, today I realized that my amr500 began to liquidize oil where the rollers are and when it is running the amr500 has a small hole and the oil comes out through there, little oil is coming out, my doubt is my friend, the oil seals were already damaged, right, I have watched your videos and I realized that when you changed the bearings that were damaged, you also changed the oil seals

      The one he said was hard to find is made more difficult by the craptastic font used in the model number. It is DG175216 that indicates a size of 17x52x16 which corresponds to a couple of pieces from the Koyo lineup. Once you have the number figured out from the crap font and you look for Koyo cross reference the rest is easy.
