I don't know if this was intentional or not on Sonic Team's part but with the inclusion of this mod this cutscene now heavily reminds me of that scene in Battle of Gods where Goku tries to stop Beerus' attack from destroying the Earth and he loses all of his forms but then suddenly he turns back into SSJ God and finally manages to neutralize the attack.
That's exactly what I was thinking!
What ep was this? Or was it the movie?
@@proallnighter It only happens in the movie. In the anime version Goku doesn't turn back into SSJ God, instead he just punches through the attack and destroys it while in base.

@@georgiepig5726 Kinda sorta maybe. According to the wiki, Ian Flynn said it in a podcast as a working name for the form. It hasn't been confirmed by any official sources, and has only appeared in this cast.

I liked the reference, but if we were to analyze Super Sonic, wouldn't he already be a god or semi-god? Since chaos emeralds were created by the gods and have infinite/unlimited power, that would make him a god or semi-god by becoming Super, right?

@@ResistancePasta me too, he's already managed to defeat multiversal beings with ease, I'm always impressed by the amount of achievements and gigantic range of his abilities, I think the game version is getting close or almost on par with the Archie comics version at this rate
Yeah technicalitly wise super sonic works like ssg not ssj since it is divine energy plus base form and has no inherit stamina drawbacks in comparison to other forms.
