They also discuss the fallout from Joe Biden's less than stellar debate performance and what the Democrats should do to handle the reactions and soothe Democratic voters concerns.

The thing people need to remember with Biden’s debate performance. In the week leading up to the debate, Biden flew back and forth to Europe twice, crossed 12 different time zones and prepped like he was studying for the bar. I’m 44 and all of that exhausts me.

Please please please please continue to message your audience about project 2025. I don't think a lot of people are aware.

The hysteria surrounding Biden right now is absurd. Trump does so much worse things and the media never called for him to step down the way they are with Biden right now.

Pardon…but, he (Biden) has dementia . Dementia doesn’t get better, the “condition” gets worse with each passing day . He HAS to step aside

Love you guys but how exactly is American democracy in the balance? Just because our team is going to lose badly to a mean guy doesn’t mean democracy is ending. 4 more years of trump and that’s it, never again. World won’t end, america will still be america. And btw, in a crazy world where the 22nd amendment is revised, that wouldn’t be the end of democracy. You still need to win votes to get elected. No term limits in many european countries, they are considered democracies..

The most honest thing Trump said in the 2020 debate was: “I just use the laws you created.” And maybe that is also the problem, he gets away so much because there are problems with some of our laws - the ones designed to protect people of wealth and power.

I know you two are wildly busy, but if this was a weekly show with you two discussing politics, my anxiety would be much less high lol. That being said, I realize your schedules and lives make that probably impossible.

America is unironically like a year away from their own Night Of The Long Knife unless voters (or a rogue big mac) put an end to this charade.
EDIT: I think john's bold move would be a good one, yes 12 ammendment blah blah but republicans would make it work so just make it work.

Love to see Steve on the channel always! Thank you both for speaking on this topic. Im gonna vote and do my part, but deep down I fear that the American experiment has failed.
Incredibly imperfect as it is in reality, I love the idea if what America is supposed to be and it really seems like we have failed ourselves.

Appreciate the show John. It's important to advertise these discussions. I do lean more towards Steve, especially on having Biden step aside and have another candidate chosen at the DNC. It is more than just one bad night. He has had numerous public instances of cognitive decline. Even Carl Berstein just came out with sources inside the White House confirming Biden has declined cognitively, especially in the last 6 months. Optics matter just as important as substance for independents and undecided voters

I saw an ig video & im not sure why it never crossed my mind, but in the video the guy says, when you’re voting for president you’re not only voting for the president, you’re actually voting for the cabinet, whose cabinet is going to move us forward, at the end of the day Biden’s cabinet is the most diverse that is trying to move the country in a better way

As an unfortunate person who thinks things like government intervention is sometimes needed, but government intervention doesn't solve all problems. Deregulation can solve some problems, but can also cause problems. And every issue needs to be a case by case basis, not a black and white choice basis as is the political party nature of the USA which is a one side fits all approach per party for the most part. I think both you guys are being a bit alarmist.
What will Trump winning do? He won't get the house and senate, and likely anything he does will be immediately blocked in legal fights, additional legal charges and other things that will simply create gridlock for four years until he's gone. Seems in a way more dangerous if he loses theoretically as that is what led to January sixth, not that I am advocating for him to win mind you.
As I should note, I wish Trump truly would go away from politics permanently. But I also don't think it is quite the Armageddon level event you guys are promoting here. And in a way, by doing so, that kind of sentiment could only invigorate some Trump support, because it plays into his "they're out to get me" and "they won't give our guy a chance" narrative.

It's crazy that the Democrat's have given us this choice. Imagine if they had another young energetic candidate? It would be a landslide. Instead it's going to be razor thin. What the hell are they thinking?

John. You can't understand why someone would fall for Trump, and I'm a still bothered that so many went and supported Dubya against a decent, intelligent, actual veteran like John Kerry..
