The Caphtorim - Tribes Of The Nephilim

This is an overview of the Caphtorim tribe. It details who they were, where they came from, and where they went. It's also part of a larger series I'm doing on the Nephilim tribes in the Bible. Each tribe in the series is addressed as a standalone entry, so there is some overlap. As always, the Berean challenge (Acts 17:11) applies to every episode of TL. I am a little confused with this one. It is my understanding that the founding of Philistia was a result of the invasion of Egypt by the Sea People during the Collapse of the Bronze Age. There is much research on the Sea People. The emerging concensus is that they were a diverse group from the north and middle Mediterranean Sea who might well have entered the Levant and Egypt by way of Cypress and Crete.
Initially they had success in Egypt and might have been part of the Hyksos. Eventually they were exile to what would be called Philistia where they would have intermarried with the native Canaanites. I believe this is the land of Goliath (Gad).
This is off the top of my head. I apologize for inaccuracies. The Collapse of the Bronze Age coincides with the time of the Israelites in Egypt, the "another Pharoah who did not know them."
