Absolutely gorgeous technique. Going to try my huge armoire but was unsure how to get the effect I wanted. Now I know! Thank you!
Some of my fav videos are when she is talking thru the procedures. She has such an adorable personality. It sold me in her techniques. Love her.
Great piece. Exactly the kind of piece that can be successfully painted.
I love watching you work! no talking, straight to it!
Thank you so much for watching!
Wow, I'm blown away. Very beautiful piece. I loved watching it come together. You definitely have an eye for painting and gorgeous techniques. Thank you very much for inspiring me. I was stuck while in the process of painting an armoire I use in the kitchen for a pantry. Not anymore.....đ

just reading the comments ......wow think for yourself people....great work thank you...
I am in love with this piece. You are amazing! Thank you for sharing. Working on something similar, loved this so much! :)
Love those colors together.
Kacha, I enjoy so much watching you paint. I am painting our kitchen cabinets right now using old while and then brown wax. It's very hard with these colors, I am struggling. I did my buffet and vanity in guest bathroom in using Aubusson blue with brown wax and all went well. I think it's the brown wax on white that makes it harder. Thanks for all your fabulous video's.
Linda Bell it is hard to mix those two. I know from experience. If you went to hard you can use mineral spirits to take off the brown wax and use clear wax. Iâm not a fan of brown wax, I usually choose lack wax over it. Iâm not sure what to say, if you like how itâs going Iâd finish the piece. But I do agree those two are tough to work with!
Linda Bell hey Linda, I just realize something. Did you apply clear wax before using the brown wax? If you didnât that might be why your having so much trouble, always do clear wax before any type of dark wax!
@@KachaFurniture Yes I did use clear wax, I think I'm going to just use a color and forget the wax. Like I said I did Aubusson blue on my buffet with brown wax and it turned out great. I think white with the brown wax is very hard. Thank you for your advice Kacha, I will be watching your video's.
My jaw drops with each video I watch! Iâm so inspired!!!!
Thank you, I appreciate every comment and watch!

Thank you for watching! And I love dry brushing too!
This is a beautiful piece. Thank you. One question: Did you wait for the various layers of paint to dry first before applying the next layer?

Awesome job! I've found my answer to my next diy project. Thank you
honeybee7606 great to hear, thank you for watching
I love your stile
Thank you so much!
Love your job, it's very inspiring! I've tried this with acrylic paint and works too, little different about drying time but pleasant as well.
I'd like to ask you something: texture is nice but I wanted a smother finish on top of tables, vanities, etc.... Is there any way to soften it without losing colours?
Reciclaje Vintage You could probably do more blending instead of texturing and get some smooth colors. It wonât give you the same effect because the texture adds a different look and grabs the paint differently. But it would still look nice!
No blending, I'm doing exactly the same process as you. It's going ok but I think it's a little hard for furniture tops.... It is suitable to dirty a lot and difficult to clean.
I'll try to apply wax with steel wool.... I suppose it'll work.
@@reciclajevintage9606 Yeah its def a tough decision! For table tops I like to stain and protect with poly because of how much use they get. It just all depends on its purpose and what you are going for! Good luck and have fun painting!!
I did not understand how you did it. Can you please make a video with this technique and explain it while you are doing? I would love to recreate it.
Big hugs .đ·
Greetings from Norway.
Love this
You make it look so easy but I know mine won't come out the same. But this is by far my favorite piece you have done and I seek to mirror it on some furniture I got. Wish me luck.....
Amazing work again!!!! đđđđ Love your furniture makeovers and one day I will start with it đđ
Hola perdona mi ignorancia, te acabo de descubrir y estoy encantada, tĂș no elijas antes de pintar ??
No hay que elijar! Gracias!
@@KachaFurniture muchĂsima gracias
Absolutely beautiful. Did you wait for each layer to dry before the next? Did you dry brush over wet paint? Thank you.
Christine
How much cleaning of all these nooks and crannies came first, if any? This is my bedroom set, by the way. North Carolina, 1967. How to open drawers when ready to reintall hardware? I struggle with that. Wish I could tell what's going on toward the end on the bottom half. But looks grrrreeat.
Gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
Stunning!
Thank you!
How many hours you wait to dry it before you apply another layer and how
Much time you wait to apply the wax? Thank you for all the ideas you are amazing!!! Pls keep sharing đ
Stupendo! Sei bravissima e...anche bellissima :D

Very nice, I love the music. So relaxing.
Me too! Fabulous isn't it :)
Kacha I love your work. I was wondering if you could open the drawers and show how the inside look
You do a magnificent job.
Thank you so much!
WOW!!!! đł Thatâs beautiful!!! â€ïž
Thank you! đ
Love the mix of colors! đ
Thank you so much!
New subscriber here! I absolutely love all you DIY painted pieces of furniture! You are a very skilled painter and thanks for sharing your techniques with us! One question can you use metallic paints over chalk paint??
Sandra Torres you can do it, and I have done it BUT it may not last forever because you should really use a primer for metallic paint!
She always found a very nice piece of furniture. From where I come from, this kind of furnitures are hard to come by and if they do it is very expensive
Oh that is sad to hear :( I find them everywhere but you have to go hunting for deals!
Hi Kacha. I love your videos. Have you or have anyone here tried using aanie sloan and rustoleum paint together in one piece of furniture? I painted annie sloan on my chair and want to give it a wash using rust oleum. I was wondering if that is ok. Or has anyone tried mixing both brands to make a color? Thanks.
I have, and it is perfectly ok to do!
Wow this looks like authentic stone carved look đ I loved the layered technique you did in this video. One question, what is dry brushing?
Yt CB dry brushing is when you apply very little paint on the brush then pat it down until there very little paint on it, leaving the brush âdryâ.
Love it!!! You have talent
Thank you!
I can't wait to try this on mine â„ïž
Your going to love it! Id love to see it when you finish!
Gorgeous - I'm new to chalk paint, and still learning, What does dry brush mean?
Dry brushing refers to a technique where the brush barely has paint on it to get a certain look/effect, Ill do a tutorial on this soon. I'm sure there are many videos out there that can show you in detail! Thanks for watching!

I am new to chalk painting and am in a major learning curve. I have a question about the tapping. i have a round Annie Sloan brush, can I use that for tapping or do you recommend a flat brush. Also can you use the same brush for all the colors since you want to blend them anyway. This is a gorgeous piece. I am thinking of including some Scandinavian pink when I do it.
I suggest you use old inexpensive brush because after all the taping your brush is going to be over lol. You donât really want to blend the color you want to layer them so as long as you keep your brush pretty dry you can use the same one. If you see that your colors are blending together then use different brushes for each color.
Thank you so much for the quick response. I appreciate it.
SubtĂtulos en Español... Gracias
Absolutely amazing!
Thank you!
TrĂšs beau beau beaucoup de travail et de technique

Wow đź great job women !
â€ïž
Do you Shallac first?
Kacha Iâm curious why you donât pull drawers all the way out to paint. I canât do it any other way cause I feel like I miss a spot if I donât.
GORGEOUS!!!
Thank you!
wow
Thank you so much!
Divino, me encanta
Fabulous job! Very creative idea
Hi... ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Love your tutorials....I am experiencing Bleed through, on old varnished & oiled Ball and claw furniture., even after sanding. Do you have any advice as how to stop this happening ? Many thanks
Have you tried shellac? Thatâs usually my go to for bad bleed through. Sometimes that can be a tough problem!
Hi Kasha, can we use shellac in middle of painting and continue to paint after shellac? Thanks!
Beautiful!!! I have a question: Between the paints,do you let them dry first before using a different color?
she said yes
Love this piece! Absolutely stunning!
Quick question - what is the name of the song in this video?
iseezombies82 itâs an instrumental by 305los. He only has his music on youtube, no Spotify or iTunes! Thank you for watching!
Do you sand a piece before you start painting on them ? Keep posting more such inspiring videos .. your creations are simply amazing !
dewonrose1 with chalk paint you almost never have to sand! Only in rare extreme cases or if I am going to use stain do I sand. The only real preparation needed is a good cleaning before you start to paint! Thank you for watching!
Kacha thanks dear đ„°
YOU HAVE AN AMAZING TALENT!
This is incredible! Thank you so much!
â€ïž Beautiful...The dresser too.
AmazingâŠ.đ
đđ Very nice work I really like what you did with that peice.. just have a few questions for you.. 1. Did you sand your peice first? If no hows it holding up... 2. Where those metallics ? Kinda looks like it then it doesn't..idk..3. Why wax ? Is it easier to blend and work with.?. (I have done faux and distressing on furniture, cabinets and rooms on large scale high end mansions when I was working with decorators years ago. We always used paint and watered it down BIG TIME where it was more like a solid body stain then cleared everything for top coat) Ive been out of painting like this for a while and things change so I'm kinda curious...and 4..Did you think of editing the fly out or was he just kickin it with you doing your furniture crafting and what not. He was funny... Idk how old this video is but if it's not to old and you have time to help me out with those questions I'd appreciate it . Thanks
WHITE DEVIL hi. Itâs chalk paint, itâs a water based paint created by Annie Sloan for furniture. It sticks to anything really. The wax was made for this specific paint to seal it and give it a unique look. The metallic is called gilding wax and itâs linked in the description. The fly just wanted to be a CZcams star so I let him get his cameo! Thanks for watching and hope I tackled all your answers!
@@KachaFurniture perfect answer..đ€Łđ€Ł thanks..
Ah okay got it! đ thank you!
you are my inspiration
Huron Chica â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž Thank you! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Beautiful just beautiful work indeed! I could watch your videos all dayyyy! May I ask if you would recommend the inexpensive "chip" brushes? I noticed your brushes had a black handle with a different color bristle. Thank you kasha! I look forward to hearing back đ
Brenda VanKleeck those black handle brushes Iâm using in this video are the cheap ones from Home Depot that I had on hand. Yes you can use the inexpensive chip brushes! The reason I suggest you use the cheap ones is because itâs going to damage the brushes! All the tapping from adding texture is probably going to ruin the brush. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! â€ïž
Thank you very much for your quick response. One final question.......do you add a medium or thickener to the chalk paint to give it added dimension and depth?
Brenda VanKleeck no, actually the opposite! I either leave it the way it is or add water to thin it down!
looks stunning đ
