Really nice triplex group! The controller system is fascinating, I really like the UI. Also having all the real time data directly on screen with so much info about I/O and even the voltage and current of the DC drive system is outstanding. I feel that most modern day controllers are no where near this convenient.
little bit obsolete configuration. i had seen many elevator machine rooms, but none of them had DC motors. each had 3 phase Induction motors with Windings 2 and 8 poles. (2 pole for fast level switching and 8 pole for the level correction) even the older ones from early 60.s. Last application of DC motors i had seen in Locomotives from 1991(class 163 of Czech Railways or Regiojet 162), or in a Paper Mills.
Reminds me of the transmitter site at wrtn in Yonkers New york. We had black suit all over everything because of the arcing from the motor brushes on the elevator systems nearby.
I'm currently working on adding realistic(ish) elevators to a mod for a free game (Minetest) here. At the moment, mostly for testing, I have it using a few clips of the motor/brake/contactor noise from this video for a few sound effects. The total usage is six short clips of audio only, the longest one being about 4 seconds long. If this sort of usage is acceptable to you, would it be possible to get a statement (a quick reply to this comment will do) stating that it can be used (and distributed, and that other people receiving said audio clips can do the same)? If you'd rather it not be used and distributed in this way, just let me know and I'll make sure it gets replaced with something else. Thanks!

I love mods that put in SCR drives instead of taking out the motors and putting in boring VF drives and AC motors. They sound really cool as well!

I didn't either. In 1996 they were already escentric controllers from Texas. BAXCO.
I believe the original was a model 5 evc.
