    Congrats on the sponsor!!! Beautiful work and tutorial as always, too! I'm always happy to see your marker vids. Especially since you use the chisel nib about 95% of the time, regardless of what you're drawing. 9 times out of 10 when it comes to vids where the artist uses alcohol-based markers, they either straight up ignore that side of the marker and don't even mention it, or they badmouth chisel nibs in general. Not to mention alcohol-based markers are SUPER expensive, and the ones that are at a decent price usually come with a chisel nib instead of a brush nib to cut costs. So it's really difficult for a newbie artist- especially if they're young and/or can't afford more expensive supplies -to get into alcohol-based markers. Seeing such a talented artist use chisel nibs on the regular is a really refreshing experience.

      Thank you!!! Thank you!! It’s so good to hear some detailed feedback. I totally agree. One of the reasons why I use chisel tips a lot is that brush tip markers was too expensive lol. Plus chisel tip can create unique style that brush tips can’t do. I know there are not many people using markers since it’s a small niche but. Im glad my video are helpful. 💜💜

      @Aimian Mao Not only are they helpful, but they're really appreciated. Your explanations of the techniques you use are both clear and comprehensive. So much so that they've come in handy when I use water-based markers like the Tombow Dual Brush Pens and/or even Crayola Super Tips. Neither of which even HAVE chisel nibs.
      I also appreciate that you create landscapes as well. Most marker artists that I've seen usually draw characters for the most part, so there's a distinct lack of building and nature tutorials as well.
      I'm so glad I discovered your channel and am glad you've returned to making videos after a brief hiatus. Thank you for all of your content.

      I really appreciate you stick around !! 💜. Really appreciate the support. I did remember you use tombow markers when you first commented on my other video. I tried tombow markers after learned that from you. I got a some colors. It’s pretty good! It’s very similar to alcohol based markers but dries differently.

    This video was amazing. It helped me to develop ways to draw backgrounds when I couldn't before watching. You earned a new fan the second your video started because it was helpful for me learning art, on top of that your voice is so soft and easy to listen to and pairs perfectly with the other audio in this tutorial. As a small content creator myself, I know how hard it is, but you made it come off effort less. I'm so glad I watched this video, and I hit the sub and trust that when I say your videos will definitely be my first click when on this app. I hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for your help.

    So what did you think of the new Kaala series. I’m looking to buy a set of Ohuhu markers for the first time. I understand that the brush markers make blending easier but I’ve heard that the chisel tip on the new Kaala series are softer and so blend better.

    • @AimianArt
      @AimianArt  Před rokem +1

      Glad you like this one too! So based on my experience, I don’t think the chisel tip of the Kaala series is softer. It’s just longer and slimmer but still very firm. For the first set, I think Ohuhu 72 colors brush&chisel tips is good if budget allows. But don’t worry too much. My first set of markers was chisel tip & bullet tip. I didn’t have any brush tip markers at the beginning. I think choosing the colors you like is more important. And the colors you choose are depending on what types of drawing you wanna do more. Hope it’s helpful! ✨

    Miss Aimian Art, if may I ask.. are landscapes tones better than illustration ones? thanks ;)

    • @AimianArt
      @AimianArt  Před rokem

      Hi~~ good question! I like landscape tone better since it’s has more green colors. I displayed color cards using each set in the last video “landscape scene with rocks and water”, around 1:15 time line. Feel free to take a look to see which color set you may like more. The illustration set has more saturated colors and gray colors. Depends on what you would like draw, each set will fit different needs. Let me know if you have more questions 💜

      Glad you noticed I used different paper haha. Yes I used Moleskin sketchbook this time. You can find the link in the description. I don’t know what type of paper it is. I think it’s this brand’s unique make? I saw lots of people using it on tiktok so I gave it try. The paper has a slight yellow tone.

      @AimianArt  Před rokem

      Lol you have bunch of moleskin sketchbook? That’s nice! the moleskin quality is very good. I find that moleskin paper does bleed a tiny bit compare to the mix media paper I normally use. But it’s not a issue. I haven’t tried canson marker paper yet. Maybe I will give it try.

    • @AimianArt
      @AimianArt  Před rokem

      Lol you are asking real questions here huh 🤣. I do think Ohuhu is great. It really depends on what drawing and style you try to create. In my other videos, I use super cheap markers and Copic together. I honestly don’t feel big differences between brands in terms of how they affect my drawing quality. If someone is drawing realistic style, they may have high standards on blending and consistency which I don’t really pay attention to lol. I love to hear your experiences too!
