love love love Charlene - I miss her, Jen, Rene, Eric, Lonny, Dee, Diane, and the whole gang. Wish they'd do a reunion video! They were so much fun and the workout atmosphere was layed back it was like working out in your living room with buddies.
Back in the 80's I watched and bought vmany of her tapes..when I started watching her I weight 235 poundsand I got down to 125 in 6 months...She was a great motivator and I wish I knew if she is still around or not...I LOVED HER immensely ..But I also found out her program was taken off the air in the USA...for some reason..Which sucks..LOVE CHARLENE PRICKETT
The first time I exercised with Charlene, she started her show sitting in a hanging bamboo chair! Pre-aerobics, pre-stepping. I loved working out to her, following her into her aerobics shows like these! Now I've put on so much weight, that I'm not sure I could even lift my leg like this! Maybe I should start again! I would love to see her earliest shows again though
Wow - is this a trip down memory lane. I exercised to this show with my Mom in the early '80s. I was looking to get fitter/leaner even though I was only about 10 - lol
Charlene Prickett is so gorgeous. And she was, I believe the best at what she did. Not many exercise/fitness instructors were as successful as Charlene was. And most of us male viewers would agree with me that Charlene was and still is attractive. You go Charlene !! 📺🎬🎥🎞️🎭🎫🎟️🎓🥋💍👑🥇🏅🎖️🏆 🇨🇦 🇺🇲
Yes, Charlene is from Arkansas. A transplant to Canada! I would exercise with her on Lifetime TV early in the morning before I would go to work and have some of her VHS and DVD tapes.
I think she married a Canadian and lived here ,doing her workouts in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I had so many of her DVDs and loved them all....she is one reason why I still work out today at 57....miss you guys....
I thought Charlene *was* actually Canadian - b/c I remember that exercising to her show, & also watching "You Can't Do That On Television", was how I first became familiar with the Canadian accent. I was only 9 or 10 years old - but I picked up on how Canadians pronounce certain words differently, and picked up on their "crisp" accents, by watching these shows - lol.
@revolutionsintheair in the 80's, especially in the aerobics revolution, Yiou had to make it all seem very very easy by talking all the time through workouts. Try it sometimes when you are at dinner with your family, just talk constantly
@dear96 Totally watched this cuz of Jim! Had to see what he was talking bout with Craig Ferguson. Picturing little Jimmy P dancing along to aerobics, that would be some cute to see :)
The show itself is probably Canadian but Charlene sounds like she must've originally come from the States. She really sounds like she has an American accent rather than Canadian.
why would a guy wear leg warmers that color even hard core gay guy dancers dont wear them that color most of the time anyway they wear black shows how weird the 80s were. though I was a kid back then I remember them fairly well.

I miss these kinds of workouts.
Charlene Prickett was and still is downright gorgeous!!!
I have all the low impact exercises. They are easy to follow and don't give me headaches afterwards. I do them whenever I don't feel like running.

I loved her this workout really work even when I was 4....🤣🤣🤣🤣I couldn’t wait until she came in with the different colors😍
AWESOOOME !

@fitnessmaniac5 I think Charlene is actually American even though her show was quite popular in Canada.
charlene!
Jim Parsons mentioned this and I had to watch it.
where can charlene workouts be ordered
Anybody! Where can i find the music of this vid (or the cd)?? Thank you very much!!
That's exactly what I was thinking too!
The guy's face at 2:09 is classic.
2:36 Salmon swimming upstream, back to their birthplace, returning to spawn...
Im trying to figure out why everyone is sooooo skinny in the 80's what secret did they have that we don't now?
Aerobics!

This show is from Alberta (which a province/state) in Canada. The accent in Alberta is more with a twang, similar to the Texan/US South accent(s).
She is not from Alberta though. She's American.

everything fromt he 80.s is like our dessert after eating vegatables.
KOAN Sound. brought me hear!
@deniseaustinlover it's the style of clothing... the guy's outfit would make a burly lumberjack look like a flamer...
Why is Jeff Foxworthy working out with Charlene Prickett??
@dear96 Totally watched this cuz of Jim! Had to see what he was talking bout with Craig Ferguson. Picturing little Jimmy P dancing along to aerobics, that would be some cute to see :)

@manga12 Maybe he just likes it. Colours are not gay or straight. They're colours. And he looks great! They all do!
THAT'S CHUCK NORRIS
Would...
@deniseaustinlover no he just thinks this is part of the stepping stone to stardom. he has visions of being in the next revenge of the nerds.
Oh boy. Eighties fitness apparel wasn't very masculine friendly.

02:10 I think he's broken guys
no think
@ohthatkara ...It's called Crack!
why is she talking about fat loss? she's almost anorexic looking o.O
you shouldn't be able to talk that much when you do sports....
