    Just bought this same exact XMR1000. I was a little concerned that the ride would be rough but it’s actually great. It’s similar to riding in a lifted truck, it’s not as smooth as it was but still comfortable enough not to be bad. The drive modes are amazing. Again, I thought it would be gimmicky, but in normal mode there’s just enough of a delay in throttle input to smooth out the engine response and not get you in trouble. Sport mode is just insane! It’s a blast but you’d better be aware because you will get in trouble with it. The display is another highlight, should be standard. I’m very impressed with what they’ve done. The extended chassis is incredible and for that alone is worth going for the 1000. Way more confidence climbing hills, and it cruises so nicely. I suppose the lower gearing helps also and the new clutching but it’s such a great trail cruiser. I’m swapping out the Cryptids for Maxxis Carnivoires. I will be using this as a beast of a trail cruiser, no mud at all....I’m ready for the ridicule.
    Had a 2019 Outlander 850 XT and it was good, but this is a whole new level of great!

    I got the 2019 xmr 1000r outlander, I love the new throttle controls, sport mode is very sensitive and I’ll switch to normal or work mode depending on trail conditions. 1 downfall I found was top end speed. Maxes out at 104 km, kinda sucks when the older 650s can pass you on the road. But I got that fixed. Now get full throttle 120 km + not like you need the speed but having the Cadillac of toys it was a bit of a downer. Tones of low end snort in the holes. The new itp cryptide tires work well smooth road ride and seem to eat almost everything you throw at them. Also another downfall is when belts grenade clutch case gets busted up too so it’s either try and repair or replace the cover sounds expensive every time you blow apart a belt.

    • @danacharette4565
      @danacharette4565 Před 4 lety

      I wonder if the XMR is maybe geared a little different than the Max 1000r? I have a 19 max and can hit 78-80mph all day long. I don't do it too often as after 60-65 mph it feels like its floating and the stability can be questionable. All that said the sport mode is very snappy and can hurt someone if not careful. I normally keep it in normal.

  • @JLawL

    I'm looking REAL hard at the 2020 Outlander Max Limited. The last time I purchased a brand new wheeler was 2005-2006. Boy have things changed! While the $18,000 price tag (including skid plates, plow, heated everything, etc) is hard on the wallet, I have no doubt it's worth every penny. Especially for someone who likes to get air from time to time :P
