I had a few choices for a mud machine and decided to go with the Can Am XMR 1000 Outlander, I wanted the longer wheelbase this time - Auta a dopravní prostředky

As someone who lives in the 30 year old polaris category, the body paneling and fitment on that thing is what amazes me the most. to see how things have gone from a pair of fenders and a seat to car like levels of body paneling

Good luck with yours. I had my CanAm ( Outlander 550 v twin for 3 years and the replaced the fuel pump 4 times and still didn't get it right. And they wouldn't give me another on to replace the Lemon they sold me. I ended up trading in for a Polaris, and I love it. Screw CanAm and there product they Don't stand behind.

I had a 2014 650 XMR, and THAT thing went everywhere. I can only imagine how nuts the 1000 is going to be.

my 2015 outlander max xt 1000 2up has an air filter that has a reddish/pinkish oil on it,, i was told by a tech to make sure it's oiled when serviced or replaced
You should love it Louie, I’ve got a 16 xmr 850 with 2,000km and hasn’t given me any issue. Will recommend to probably do clutches, HD performance belt, maybe the mudNwheels diff, and of course exhaust to hear that beastly rotax. Otherwise it should do you well!

I work as an atv mechanic and to be honest it always Polaris owners who are coming more then the can am people.

This can am looks gooood
Bought mine last year - outlaws is the only diff - I'll never go back to anything smaller personally. it runs HOT though man, I actually keep water or use snow to cool my rad. The fender flares are cheap... bumped a tree on a trail, broke lol. Amazing work horse, I can plow over a foot of snow towing an enclosed trailer with 100L of diesel fuel and tools in it slow and controlled no problem. I have no doubt you'll love it - enjoy.

U might want to keep a eye on the rear prop shaft and rear diff can am is horrible about that.
Well yeah, if you're serious about getting in to ATVs, Can-Ams are the way to go.

Great video, can't wait to see what you think of it long-term. Interesting to hear the dealer tell you he uses 91 octane fuel; it says right in the manual "Use common unleaded gasoline with an AKI (R+M)/2 octane rating of 87" and "Never experiment with other fuels". Then again, he might not know what he's talking about - the manual also states to OIL the foam air filter. Was very surprised to hear him say "no need to oil". ?????

Why the diff will break the belt will slip and smoke and you will get water in the diff
Hunter Janovsky disagree on everything except water in the dif. I have 2k17 xmr and it had water in rear dif but nowhere else. Mechanic claimed it was because aluminum dif expands with heat and when you jump into waterhole it will shrink faster than seals can react. I said it was total bullshit and if I get water in one more time you are going to swap the dif.
