[NATIONAL PARK TOUR] A BEGINNERS GUIDE TO EXPLORING THE GETTYSBURG NATIONAL MILITARY PARK!

Hi folks and thank you for watching today! I'll be honest and tell you that the first 11 minutes of this video is all about the Visitors Center and a overview of the battle of Gettysburg. Good job, having lived in Gburg back in the early 2000 and go back as much as i can. the 1 thing alot of 1st timers experience is being overwhelmed by the size of the battlefield and # of monuments (1,000+) many think they can see everything in a day. even in 3 days it's tough. before visiting it deff help to do some reading or watching youtube video's like this.

@@travelingmcgee oh yeah going back soon for the 160th ann. of the battle for a week (4th of July) , got alot of meet up with youtuber's (Project_Past/Forward Gettysburg/History Savior 1941 / Vlogging through history / the history underground) are all going to be in town filming. going to be a real fun time the hard part is picking what area's you want to explore , We r deff doing Devil's Den as it's now reopen after being closed for clean up

@@2104dogface yes anniversary weekend is coming quickly! It is a shame that little round top is still closed but there is an interesting beaver encampment now in the bloody run area just north of devils den, he has damned up the creek pretty good!

@@travelingmcgee yeah it is lol i just got myself new sunglasses & hiking shorts for the trip
oh thats been an ongoing battle with the beavers for a long time, but they just did some work to help drain the water and so far it's working on drying out some of the land.
yeah Little Round top is such a great spot with amazing views and sunset. but hopefully tourist will explore more of the less visited areas now. for amazing sunsets the peace flame is a good 2nd spot
