I love Gettysburg. It’s such a nice clean place with a whole lot of history. I think it’s so cool that homes and buildings today still have bullet damage. You know, the more I watch your videos I discover how much good information you dish out. Awesome. 👍

Thanks Craig that means a lot! It’s one of my favorite places and thought it would be a fun video to make and share with folks that might not be too familiar with the area, the bullet holes add to the character ! Thanks for stopping by as always.

It has to be one of the most underrated places in America, I’ve been going back for years and it never gets old, thanks for the comment.

I miss Gettysburg! It was my second home for years, had to travel there for work. I've been there dozens of times. The Dobbin House was always a must for me.

It’s the best! Wish I can retire there one day, just something special about it there. The Dobbin house is amazing! Thanks for stopping by Mandy!

Sweet! Great job with the list. Gettysburg is on my bucket list of places to visit. I will use your video for reference when I get there. It might be a year away, so I'll save this to my playlist for easy reference when I need it.

Man i lived in VA then Gburg back in the day in my mid 20's and it was some wild times out of the Army ,working in D.C. high risk security. so we lived as every day could be our last . also as a reenactor you can't beat living in Gburg running around town in kit (WW1 & WW2) tourist buying you drinks (love the Canadians) Ike's Farm WW2 weekend every sept. so many stories.....lol
sat at the bar a few times listening to Mark Nesbitt lol but yeah if it's your 1st time a ghost tour is fun
Fourscore is awesome great drinks and the outdoor area with a cold 1 is a must . we also love this place
For #10 for a good history on the towers check out" Forward Gettysburg " he has a video talking about the towers (Aaron is a great guy hing out with during the 160th )
#9 100% agree , have a great breakfast at Hunt's Battlefield Fri's then walk up to Cemetery Hill (yeah it's a good sunset)
#8 is our 2nd best place for a sunset and we always stop here on every visit also some of the rare cannons are located here.
#7 100% Agree it was mobbed during the 160th on the forth of July as so many wanted to watch the fireworks from it.
#6 visiting early in the morning and you will have it all to yourself
So the latest info on the location of the Gettysburg Address (that was 1 of our goals this past trip to find) is way out back along the fence line of the Natl Cemetery and Evergreen Cemetery is were the stage would have been on both cemeteries. now there is a panel there saying this is the spot but in fact it's about 50ish ft too the right of it.
#5 never ate here but we drank in the tavern lol the gift shop is a must good
#4 spent so much time here at all hours , (running along the Dam at night in Jump Boots can be risky)
Yes the Deserters were hung in the center of the bridge 1 on the left 2 on the right , if you do see/get a pic of them you can see that there shoes were taken and hands & feet were tied. there are reports of shadow figures out in the woods but they have thinned out the tree line over the years.
#3 yeah esp if your 1st trip
#2 HELL YES , this was our go too place when getting off duty. (currently having staffing issues and there new computer system keeps crashing ) bangers & Mash w/ a Confederate Sharpshooter to wash it down
#1 hands down the best spots for sunset / sunrise a must visit and with all the new work put into the area it's going to be even better , the trail they are working on from Devil's Den through the Slaughter Pen up too little Round Top looks good so far.
sorry for the long comment lol
