    This is a free online resource for anyone wishing to practice playing along with an original arrangement of the popular Celtic tune: Tam Lin (The Glasgow Reel). Treble clef score and chords (with tab fingering) is available to follow if you wish.
    I made this video because a large part of being a folk musician is playing along with other people and yet there are limited resources to practicing this without going out and meeting other musicians! Hopefully you will enjoy playing along with your chosen instrument!

    I absolutely love it, I played this again on my Cello. The faster version.... I busked a harmony! But loved being able to work on my tone. X

    Nice! going to try it... on clarinet. Although it is probably good on the Bb whistle too.

    So thankful for your videos! And I absolutely love that finally there's a song, thats not a total mess with positions on the viola (yup, viola player here) :) I would appreciate so much if there was more folk for violas :) Keep on going! It's great fun

      Thanks for your kind words! I’m really glad you are enjoying these videos; more on the way 😊 And violas are great! I can recommend A Minor tunes down the octave on a viola, they tend to work quite well, but I know what you mean! :)

    As a beginner tin-whistler I really like this reel. The whole-note bar section is a little oasis in my head so the tune is not overwhelming :) Great choice (now on to the task of converting it for my D whistle ;) )

      That's really great to hear! Thank you for sharing. :) And yes, in this key it would indeed work best on an F whistle.

      Thank you so much! That’s great to hear and yes of course you may use it in a video; thank you for asking 🙏 . If you could put a credit link in the channel description to the backing track, for anyone else who may want to find it, that would be much appreciated 👍🙂
      And do let me know when you’ve made the video! I would love to see it :)

    Hello. I need helping with the backing chords. Dm B C. Am I right? If the song is in Dm.

    • @CharlesHarrisonMusic
      @CharlesHarrisonMusic  Před 3 lety

      Hi there! That is almost right. It would be Dm, *Bb*, and C. The key of D minor (or its relative F major) has 1 flat: B flat. Hope that helps! :)
