There are so many books now exploring the temperate forests of the west that I feel so satisfied my tree-evangelist days are paying off. This wood looks like the wood we have in the north of Spain Simon, Is a very difficult thing to find a real good composition but, when you find one, usually is absolute glorious!!! . In this time of the year the green in Galicia are very saturated! it look like you move the saturation slider to max! but is the real color, in fact I normally low a bit the saturation because is not the way i like it. Keep on man I will follow you for ever because you are a real photographer, period! Cheers and good luck my friend!

I've only just discovered your channel and, in a very strange way, i find myself 'believing' in it. Take that any way you wish... it's not for me to explain it here. I must thank you for giving my confidence a considerable boost. I live in a wetland and rainforest - not near, but in. It is denser than what you've shown here, and i've had a lot of difficulty in reconciling what i typically do in my photography with this environment's bewildering complexity. I want to shoot within and big, but the intensity of it means i end up going landscape - essentially, views from without - or tight isolations... or textures at a fine scale. I don't think there is anything wrong with images at those scales, but they fail to represent (what i believe) is the most important characteristic of this type of environment - the overwhelming profusion of life and its capacity to adapt and sustain itself in remarkable ways. So... you've given me a glimpse of how i can go forward. Thanks you. You've also said enough to make me want to contribute to your project as more than just a subscriber - i'll get my head around the options. All the very best from a cabin in a swamp in a rainforest in winter in New Zealand.
Hi Simon. Guy Shrubsole's wonderful book gave me tons of inspiration last year and seeing you in this setting has a similar effect and reminds me there's a site in mid-Wales that I need to revisit. It's interesting that a lot of the folks I follow on You Tube have mentioned a little burn out recently, but you all work so hard to be creative and come up with new content that it's not surprising. I always enjoy your videos and as a gal from the Pacific Northwest of the US, moss is one of my significant others! Love it!

Not sure where you are located Simon but I had a spring holiday in Sunart a few years back and was blown away with the lush green colours. Loads of woodland walks to enjoy together with some wilder places to explore. Always find it amazing how you manage to pick out shots in amongst the trees, a skill I don’t seem to poses! For some reason, I was attracted to the two trees on the left of your picture at 11:40 right away, they caught my eye immediately. I also love the next picture, at 11:50. Very impressive tree! It also has something scary to it somehow, with its arms (the branches) reaching out to get the viewer, or so it seems 😅
What a beautiful new woodland, but your attempt to show us the beauty and complexity is successful and I'm already waiting for more images from this incredible place .Thank you and don't worry I will continue to support you as far as possible ( as I think many /all of your followers ). Even if your videos are not so frequent the quality is outstanding P.S I know : money is always a problem ☹☹
I am surprised it is allowed to walk into the forest just like that. Not the case for Germany, every somewhat nice looking forest is a protected area and leaving marked trails is not allowed.
For the most part, you can go where you like, but obviously you should be responsible and use common sense. It's also why I go to places which see few people - my presence goes unnoticed with no trail marks left behind.
@@SimonBaxterPhotography Wish I could do the same in Germany not breaking any rules. There are forests that aren't a part of nature protected area and you can walk there freely, but those are seldom inspiring.
There is simply no one else who organizes the chaos of woodland photography like Simon...and Meg.
