Thats 2:14 is the sadness scene that i've ever felt when i watch a movie. Really hit me man. The miles's face, like.i can feel it how it hurt so much that the one you believe and care the most actually is the one who betrayed you. If i were miles i don't think i can forgive her ever again even when she tried her best to rescued me. Poor miles.
I can really understand Miles and his love for Gwen. You see I fell in love with a girl. She was sweet, innocent, kind and energetic. Everything I want in a girl. One day, I told her how I felt and, at first, she rejected me due to someone else. But turned out thay guy was a creep. After that, she told me that, when she's ready for a relationship, she chooses me. 1 day she comes back after 3 months of total silence and I've been waiting for her with high hopes only for her to be in a relationship with her childhood friend. That's, probably, the most insecure I've ever been in my life, cause it made me feel an unwanted, worthless last resort for if things don't go her way. We're not talking anymore, I think. For me, I knew it was going to be harder but that was so much harder than I thought. I mean, how am I supposed to love myself after waiting 3 months for a girl only for her to be off with her childhood friend, who made me think I didn't need to learn to love myself cause she made me feel completely comfortable with myself?

i should note that Miles feeling betrayed like this is incredibly understandable, and the way he responded to this with all the actions he did, especially the one where he genuinely meant that Gwen never should've come to see him, can be justified. but its also worth knowing that Gwen still, at the end of the day, cared for Miles and only wanted to protect him from everything.

@@jonahfinch all the bad things that happened to Miles were out of their control. She wanted to protect him from something far worse than losing a loved one. You have to understand that Gwen is like every normal human being: she makes mistakes even whenshe doesn't mean it. In this case, we should focus on the intent more because, like I said, rhe situation is just out of their hands at that point. Gwen seeing Miles in the first place still would've become a lose-lose situation for her at that point. So getting mad at her for making a mistake shouldn't really be our last impression of her because by the end, she is actively reforming herself in order to redeem herself for her mistakes and for Miles. That's whats important to note for her character.
@@Dadjagajagwhile I do get that she came around that doesn’t excuse her not standing up for miles when he needed her the most and the fact that she was actively hiding his fathers death from him and then tried to convince him to let it happen doesn’t sit right with me yes the intent was good doesn’t mean the actions were and obviously miles saw it the same way thats why when she caught him on the train from falling he cut the web showing that trust had been broken I understand these things were not in her control like you stated before, they weren’t in anybody’s control really but not giving miles the chance to face it head on isn’t doing him any good imagine someone close to you was about to die and your friend new but prevented you from being there and instead of keeping it real and telling miles what she had going on with her she bragged about the spider society in miles face while trying to push him away for good reasons I get but all the not trusting him shit was low key fake I would of took things the same way miles did while she didn’t lie about anything technically sometimes not saying anything at all is just as bad
@@mackjeezy8929 i get your point, what she did was inexcusable to an extent. Its that kind of betrayal of trust that definitely doesn't well with anyone. Its not like I can say that her trying to fix her mistakes by the end of the movie can justify it from your perspective, but the only thing really people need to know was that she's genuinely regretful of her actions and is actively trying to right her wrongs. She's still, by all means, a good character who is willing to fight against the freakin multiverse for the people she cares about, though most of the bad reputation stems from how much trouble it resulted despite trying her best to avoid it. What people need to know is that she's just like everyone else, but at a more exaggerated capacity: all the pressure and responsibility she's been given undermine all the good she's done the moment everything goes to shit. What people should note is that this isn't the end of her story. IN BTSV, SHE WILL FIX HER MISTAKES. Thats what ber arc in this movie sets up. In this movie, she's plagued by her past mistakes which affect her actions more so than you think, but now she's willing to move forward a step further in order to get past every obstacle and thats what makes her a great character. I don't know how to convince nor would i know if I even am able to do so, but I hope you understand her side of the story just paints her in a bad light.

miles wasnt experienced like they were , but he did bring out the best in all of them. sadly they dont try to bring out the best in miles. for a man to only give half of what he is(let me rephrase) barely give half of what he is to his parents and wanting to talk to someone, a friend, and trying, yet they couldve the whole time... as he still carries such a whole heartedly spirit to still be a good person, a hero. he taught them... but to them hes "the kid"... at this point "taking a leap of faith" isnt in the category for em, but miles is continuing it as he should! ❤😊
I don't know how she'll make it up to him in the next movie, she threw him under the bus for too long, hope he shuns her to let her know that he's not someone who forgives easily.

I don't know that I consider it a betrayal; an entire world is at stake after all. But my guess is that he'll start to realize where Miguel is coming from (excessive as he is) and start to have a lot more doubt about whether he's doing the right thing. Then Gwen shows up and tells him that there might be a way to save his father without causing a collapse. Which would go a long way in the forgiveness department.

Such a title really simplifies the whole story though. Gwen literally believes that billions will die if Miles doesn't listen to Miguel and lets canon events happen (also that she will be forced back to her own universe where she thinks her dad is waiting to arrest her if she doesn't follow orders) , but the whole point is her slowly realising Miguel's belief is flawed and she should be on Miles' side after all. She says as much in the beginning of the movie (which is her speech to recruit Spider-people at the end) "I didn't want to hurt him... But I did." Gwen is a deeply troubled 16 year old girl and the end of her ATSV arc is deciding to make things right and let herself rely on friends after all. Beyond is gonna have her explain everything and apologise properly to Miles.

It's my biggest issue with the movie. It makes absolutely no sense that he could escape hundreds of other spider people with the same powers and more experience that him.
@@darkkey19 I believe that all the spidermen were going easy on Miles. They were holding back from breaking a teenage boys spine. If they actually weren't holding back, then Miles would have been caught in 5 seconds, with broken ribs.
Also it would be hard to swing from one area to another while there's hundreds of spider people in the way, I'm sure a bunch of them got caught in each others webs

He's not meant to be Spider-Man he is meant to be the Prowler he has in his cosmic sleeve the abilities and movement of a Spider-Man enemy while he has the spider genes in his blood. Which gives him two powers no other spider-person has nor can easily counter. He isn't a rookie...He has self-confidence and a plan he's a Spider-Man that took out Kingpin an A-List villain within weeks of being Spider-Man. Like he keeps telling them...He's not just a kid. If they were holding back or weak willed...He wasn't for him this was 100% a matter of life and death.
What I'm surprised about is that Miles didn't start just killing them left and right with bioelectricity attacks...They've made it quite clear they're Tyrants and Cultists that can't be reasoned with in the slightest. If he's not meant to be Spider-Man...Stop running away and kill these hostiles. If Miguel attacked me like he does...It would become a fight to the death.

Not gonna blame Pete B and Gwen for what they thought was for the greater good, but the fact is, they still betrayed a good friend they made. They may not have wanted to do it, or be proud of it, but they, much like 97% of Miguel’s cult can’t see pass their grief to realize what they’re doing is the OPPOSITE of what Spider-Man (Woman, Boy, Girl, and all others) is SUPPOSED to be: a hero that TRIES to help people, REGARDLESS of the odds.😊

Nah, I don't think Gwen betrayed Miles. Even at the intro of the movie Gwen says "I didn't want to hurt him, but I did". Also she basically takes action to go hep Miles at the end.
Most of everyone is aware of her intentions but when you are a part of a group that believes in letting specific individuals die when you are able to stop it, that is in a sense a betrayal to miles as Spider-Man, put on top of that his own father then that is a betrayal to him as person. Now we only have a piece of the puzzle so I can’t speak on everything. I personally can’t wait for Beyond the spider verse🔥
