Another great reaction video! You absolutely hit the proverbial nail on the head when you mentioned "grunge" because it is exactly what they were going for in this cover. Gigi herself has admitted that she is an Alt-rock fan and that their band has been evolving towards the alt-rock genre when it comes to their covers. You mentioned the bands, Hole, Garbage, and The Cranberries, all of whom were (2 are still) great alt-rock bands of the 90's that has the same vibe and sound that this cover has. Your technical analysis of this cover is spot on! The skills required of the vocals is definitely high level and the combination of techniques from Dolores (Cranberries) Shirley (Garbage), and Courtney (Hole).
They did a cover of Lady Gaga's "Remember us this way" that's not as grungy/alt-rock as this cover but has a subtle alt-rock feel as well that you should check out.

THIS never knows. The nuance of the things she's doing in this song is soooooooo good. This reminds me of a late 90s, early 2000s goth roc...in the best way possible. This is so sexy and BEST cover out there. She's so sexy here but she's just wearing a t-shirt and it's so tasteful. She definitely draws us in. PLUS the band is wickedly stupid good. The beginning part when Gigi said, "ang bilis" means it's fast. She had to slow it down to have a better outcome. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I had the fortune/unfortune of Unholy being my first Gigi experience. I thought "Wow! This is better than the original. This is where the song was meant to go." All the textures, tones and colors Gigi got out of her vocals floored me. Little did I know she could also sing ballads like Whitney Houston. Gigi is a rare bird indeed. Thanks for reacting!

I found her cover of this song more emotional than the original and especially loved the first two parts which she sang mostly in a beautifully soft and tender falsetto to express the achingly beseeching tone evoked by the lyrics.
