I ordered a new Chevrolet Suburban in the High Country trim yesterday, and the dealership told me that he was very certain that I would be receiving not a 2023 model, but the new 2024 model with the updated 3.0L diesel engine as called the LZ0 3.0L diesel engine, but he did not mention any refresh.

@@jinchengshi3191 True. For the money they are asking, it ought to be feature laden. I personally was hoping that they'd finally shoehorned the LZ0 into the AT4 or Z71. That with the new interior and some competitive pricing would get me into the showroom. Right now I'm looking elsewhere after 40+ years driving K-Blazers and a Yukon.

My guess is that the refreshed Suburban, Tahoe, and Yukon will debut later this year as 2025 MY vehicles. The Silverado HD refresh was originally thought to have been 2023, but was instead pushed back to being revealed later in 2022 as a 2024 MY vehicle, so we might possibly see this coming with the refreshed 2025 MY Suburban and Tahoe as well.

All fine with me. I hope they hold them back. It wasn’t that long ago these models just came out. Keeps my brand new ‘23 Denali Super Cruise current as well😀. I get that they just changed over to digital dash in ‘22 and regular Yukons and all Tahoe/Suburbans have that stand up media display. That is a dated look. But the Yukon dash is on point enough to stand just fine with the 24 trucks and their fancy media dash. It holds up just fine. As far as if they’d go bigger with the media console screen, I have a Ram truck with the big 12”…..I’ve realized there is only so much screen I need in the middle. If my Ram 12” it is split in 2 with radio and map. I’m only looking at one or the other. Too much screen is not necessary. My 10” Yukon Denali screen is just fine. Anyway, fine with me if they hold them back. Love my interior and exterior as it is.

@@trumpisastump9382 they’ve already done that. It’s a matter of when the refreshed models will be revealed as they’re already undergoing testing on real roads. They’re just not in a hurry *revealing* the new models to the public. They’re still dominating the segment because they’re so far ahead of everyone else already, it’s no need to shoot themselves in the foot and reveal the refreshed trucks which would only slow down sales of their own segment leading trucks in their current form/model. *gm* is literally competing with themselves at this point.

Actually I’m in the camp, older is better for longevity and reliability. Purchased my 05 Suburban Z71 4x4 workhorse/overlandcamper for just $2300 and she still runs and drives like a champ and even tows well while getting good fuel mileage compared to brand new Gm suvs. Even picked up an 07 Yukon 4x4 also no AFM that just runs for $2500. I do need a Diesel 3500HD Dually tho. I doubt post bail out GM vehicles will last 350k+ miles. Talked to a guy who wanted to buy my GMT400, his 2020 Silverado had 100K miles and the transmission was slipping already. GM cut cost which ruined their reliability. Presidential motorcade uses older GMTs, still using a GMT800 that’s been in use since the G.W Bush administration.

For 70+k I for one felt the new interior is a must. I know many others like me that feel the same way. That and there is still WAY too much plastic in the interior of the Tahoe. The man hours for assembly of these vehicles is 20-25 hours. If you are good at math, you should see that increases to these wage rates will make a very small difference in the cost of production.
