Hiii
For anyone wanting to save time ill sum it up
1. Don't go mountain climbing in a shoe designed for casual running
2. Oh no regular laces how tragic 😢
3. You will gain a 2 inch height boost
🔥 thank you
nah with the hight thing he’s saying that the shoes stability is poor
the higher the shoe, the less stability, making you more susceptible to ankle rolls
@@joey.h14that’s only really true on uneven terrain. On flat ground, the stack really only makes noticeable impacts to cushion
you ON fanboys are worse than tesla and apple fanboys. get some CHILL
@@joey.h14depends how wide the forefoot and heel of the shoe are. High stack height doesn’t automatically mean instability
bro got sturdy💀
When there's nothing to complain about....
Oh no you have to tie your laces??? What a tragic inconvenience... 😂😂😂🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
😂 it is what it is. Tying laces is annoying but it's useful
It’s an inconvenience for me, my left hand has fatal nerve damage so I can’t use it to its full extent, so tying laces would be hard with one hand right?
@@svk0531 for the 99 percent plus of the population this is not the case, you're an outlier as they say. I wouldnt list outliers in a negative category imo
@@BillyVisualsAre these okay for just average walking around? (On my feet alot) What shoe is as comfortable as this one but not as bulky?
@@Courtannicathey are pretty comfortable for daily wear. I normally just wear the regular cloud 5s though. The cloudmonster is more of a dedicated running shoe
“ this shoe comes in black so its hard to find them at night “
My only beef is the rocks getting stuck in the bottom. Other than that the on clouds are great so far
It’s sad that having to actually tie your shoes is considered a downside
Bro doesn't understand these are running shoes
If your actually going to use them for their real purpose, running
Normal laces are better because you can change them to your liking and you shouldn’t worry if they look big or clunky as long as they feel good to run in they’re right for you.
It’s also super squeaky when it’s wet out.
I own these and they are amazing. Great shoe to wear if you’re on your feet all day
Are they true to size ? Would you say these are better than the Cloudsurfer?
Yep. Because I know when I choose a RUNNING shoe to go throw down 10 miles in, I want speed laces that won’t keep my foot secure and maybe less cushion so it looks more fashionable. 🤦🏼♀️
Bro said tie them manually 💀
This was one of my favorite shoes. The squeaking kills me (for casual wear once I retired them from running). I LOVE THIS SHOE. Gonna check out the CM2 but hate that they aren’t available in all black
bro these are the perfect running shoe.
It rips on the sides really quickly so that is a downside but it is actually the most comfortable shoe ever
really quickly is how long after say wearing it daily indoors for long hours?
@@SadDays-21 probably couple months I think
If you value the skin on your heel, don't buy these shoes... the high back tears you to shreds..
The rubber bottom is great shock absorber. I got the On cloud Roger… it’s super comfortable❤ my favorite sneakers
Looks good. Are they good for running?
Not fan of speed laces. You are going running for 30 minutes minimum and up to 2 hours and you cannot spend 1 to 3 minutes to ensure you have appropriate hug-fit? Thoee speed laces loosen over time too.
Nice pants... better than sneakers. What are those pants? Thanks.
Honestly, I'm not sure why anyone would buy this show for fashion. It's not that "pretty" when compared to other on shoes. Also, this shoes is designed specifically for long slow distance runs and is for people who want/need the extra cushion. This shoe performs well on soft dirt trails in addition to pavement, concrete, etc.
From reviews from other runners, these are very capable of running shoes, I just feel the holes in the soles designs make it hard to clean if you running on wet roads. So i went to asics novablast 3 for me daily, probably soon need to be replaced
could you do a review of the on cloud 5?
How would it be for a walking shoe? Ive been having so much pain from even shorter walks and standing all day at times and think these are so cute.
People use them as a walker but the monster is a running shoe first, heading into the ultra runner minded distances. Doesn’t mean you can’t walk in them but there are other options from on that won’t set you back $175.
You know they’re good shoes when one of his only 3 complaints is that they have laces 😂
🤣
This is a fairly technically running shoe and good for short to medium distance runs. Also suitable for most levels except the very top I guess.
But sure, use it to walk around lol. There are other ON models for style, this prob isn’t it.
It’s a running shoe , you’re supposed to run in it .
1. The laces you can switch easily.
2. When you run its on your forefoot, so grip in the midsole is unnecessary. Of you want to go trail running and need grip though out the sole . Go buy shoes for trail running
3 . The “chunky“ foam prevents injuries .
Chunky foam makes you feel comfortable, healthy foot prevents injuries, shoes make feet less healthy, making you want even softer shoes due to foots inability to handle stress due to reduced range of motion and unnatural position.
Bro found the new emote on his emote wheel 😂❤
Idk these aren’t really “issues” they’re just like, preferences that weren’t met 🗿
It's a sad day when you have to actually tie your shoes like the rest of humanity
I mean it’s for runners so I get not having to tie your shoes when it unties while running
Do you recommend these for working 8hr shifts as a full time employee on his feet all day ?
Yes, or hoka
NOT A GOOD SHOES EVER SHORT TIME
HOKA IS WAY BETTER THAN THIS
Looks like you will break an ankle
Know its 9 months ago but can i ask. Have you had the on cloudtilts and what are they like? And what are ON shoes in general like how lobg they survive for and also i seen people say they squeak after time? And reveiws about ON shoes are mixed?
dope loop
Can you make a review about the adifom sltn
The Cloud (5) is the only On which comes with speed laces, since it is an all-day shoe.. imagine to run with loosen up laces...
There's one thing about those shoes that seems like sketchy to me the gimmick is that the soul is a compliant mechanism but isn't foam already a compliant mechanism the only thing I could see a doing is increase the travel time of the compression from the foam which might make it squishier
Trade my homes in for these , they’re just as good if not better in my opinion
If there is one shoe that you will be using for long walks which is sturdy and last a lifetime - which would you suggest?
I am going to hold out for a newer model of this shoe.
Thank you for letting us know that you will hold out for a newer model. If you did not inform us on the matter, then we might have never known that you will hold out for a newer model of this shoe. I can now rest assured knowing…. That you will hold out for a newer model of this shoe.
@@jessepaguio2611 letting "us" know? Thank you for letting the whole world know that you’re lonely.
Karel Sabbe just set the Pacific Crest Train world record in this shoe. Have you ever tested it on different terrains or did you just pick this fact from the sky ?
I’m buying some 😊
Bro! For a vet on his feet all day in a vet clinic what do you think?
My answer would be adidas XPLR_phase. Or check out my top 3 2023 sneakers of the year video on my channel.
As a runner, watching videos like these really makes me realize how judgmental I really am. I know exactly what these shoes are intended for and its functional design aspects, and I can't help but cringe for the more style-conscious community who will be buying it mostly for how it looks, though there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
What are the shoes intended for?
@@Courtannica Running
@TheRollingBacon What would you rec for someone who just wants comfortable shoes that is on their feet quite a bit (but doesn't want something narrow)?
(Personally I think these are kinda ugly but I also don't care if they're comfortable/durable xD)
@Courtannica Hmm I think that's pretty to just pick one but New Balance has been known to be a brand that accommodates to wider feet. Could try out those :)
@TheRollingBacon Thank you!! :))) (I've read the N.B. "more v3" are good but I can't find them on their site anymore. D:
I love this shoe
My every day shoe, I love it
What type of pants are those?
Is this for racing?
is this shoes recommended for overpronasi?
They look cool but I didn't like how tight the opening of the shoe is
None of the other ons have speed laces. Only the on clouds.
It adds almost 1 inch to your height. Light and make you look taller.
I have them love them.
does it sag on the long run
This is indeed the perfect shoe.
Looks great to me.
Nice video bro where can I get it?
The on website dummy
Bloomingdale’s
Is there any ON shoes good for wide feet? terrain/asfalt does not matter, just curious.
Yeah their website has options for wide fit
1. They’re road running trainers
2. Normal laces can be tied with a runners knot
3. They’re not designed to outperform carbon plated runners
4. They’re the most cushioned and flexible ON to date - not like the rock solid Cloudstratus
For those who overpronate, the cloudmonsters are PERFECT daily road running shoes, as advertised!
Thanks for mentioning pronators. I wondered if these are stability models.
It's a road shoe designed for running on roads. Hence the minimal traction, cushion, and... laces? (I didn't think that laces were a deal breaker but here we are).
Since when is lacing a shoe a flaw? Are u that desperate for content to say that
what I want a know is how does a Major shoe company stop at size 14 like there's no other people that where a size after 14
@@richardjohnson4065 they make up to 15 now
It is a perfect running shoes 😅
for God's sake what shoe would you suggest
These are not as comfortable as they claim them to be. Don't be fooled.
Which shoes do you recommend?
@@Captain_Obvious- What are you looking for in a shoe?
@@chris22186 i’m a beginner so I’m pretty much looking for a shoe that is comfortable and I can run up to 5 miles. I do own a pair of ultra boosts and i love them, but i’m open to options from other brands
o bought tyrm a month ago. Biggest regret in ages.
did he just complain about needing to tie your laces?
This has got to be the worst clip on this shoe I've seen.
I personally have 2 pairs of these one for walking and one for running that so far has 200 miles on it.they are one of the best on running shoes models they make and I've seen so many people love this shoe. And yes I'm sorry I like to toe my own shoes.
he made a dif video where he calls it one of the best shoes and he always makes two videos like that and like he said this was really hard to make and nitpicky
Jordan 1 is a perfect shoe
Keep your foundation strong footwear… build’s bodies
Not even a fan of this shoe on running, but the shirts are good
These are features for running not cons
Love my monsters
Hahaha man u don't run, everybody can tell that 😂🙈
Lmao I do a fair bit of short distance running with my dog.
Imagine calling a shoe that’s almost 10oz light and fast. It’s a fine daily trainer if you like the stack height prior to the. Loud Surfer it was probably one of the softer On shoes but that’s not saying much because the speed board in most of their shoes feels like you are running on plywood. For me they are fine and unique but not worth the hype
Dude. This is a running shoe. There isn’t full length grip because that adds weight. There aren’t speed laces because why in the everloving fuck would you want that in a running shoe. The style is “chunky” because some of us like cushioning when we run. I’m not always a fan of On, but if you’re going to point out “flaws” in a running shoe, they should be related to its use as a running shoe. This would be like if I rated Rick Owen’s Grilled heels as a 3/10 because my 100 meter time was 16 seconds slower than usual in them.
Full length grip is available in a lot of running shoes, such as ultraboost ir Pegasus 41. The bare minimum is to have grip on any part of the shoe that touches the ground. Speed laces was a feature ON sells on their site. Lastly, athletic shoes typically become fashionable. Look at New Balance 2002R or adidas Superstars. They were built for a different purpose than what it is popularly used for now. I hope you understand my points here. In less than 60 seconds I can't explain all my reasoning in full depth. I respect you expressing your thoughts. And I hope you respect mine as well.
Ankle breakers... 1970s platform soles... Good for running to the car 😂😂😂😂
So having laces is a drawback 🤔 because………..
Nothing wrong with shoe laces
Issues:
1) it has good grip unless you are mountain climbing.
2) it has laces so you can tie the shoes.
3) it's comfortable like you are walking on cloudes and it makes you taller😂
The first one was the only bad one
What shoe is good for walking all day. Like a tourist or at Disneyland 😂
Infinite money glitch 😊
Well they’re a running shoe. Not a casual everyday shoe
Holes are always a problem
just relentless preamble on this
when no one realizes the perfect loop be like:
But at the end of the day… what? 😮
Technically they might not be issues.
On cloud 5 trainers are the worst I've ever bought and the laces on them are shocking! Why would U complain the laces aren't the same?
the grip thing is reaching, no shoe has perfect grip for every terrain. especially for a recovery shoe like this that's not designed for tough terrains
Great for treadmill running and standing on your feet all day.. anything else don’t bother
Oh no!!!you have to tie your own shoes ?😂😂😂
Biggest issue, lifted toe
Any recommendation for shoes for a 300lb man who walks all day for work?
These are really good. Check out my full review: czcams.com/video/I5rwWURkNxw/video.html
try the red octobers
Hoka or Redwing
I’m gonna buy this shoe because it’s Swiss engineered . That says enough .
These shoes gave me bruised toe nails which took 6 months to heal. I ordered half a size bigger by thinking maybe the sizing was the issue. The new pair also gave me the same. I'm sending them back now.
I love these sneaker head reviews of running shoes. As a runner they're hilarious.
