- LED headlights in a Falcon Mustang Maverick Camaro Cuda F100
Episode 556 Autorestomod
www.banginheadlights.com
If your current headlights are 7" in diameter (178 mm), our seven inch round headlight will drop right in as a like-for-like replacement.
Important - These are 7" diameter headlights, normally they fit cars with 2 headlights. If your car has 4 headlights it is likely they have the smaller 5.75" size Bangin' Headlights will be releasing headlights in this size very soon.
The headlights come with a 3-pin H4 plug, the same as your existing 7" sealed beam. This makes them plug & play.
If you get headlights with options such as halos and demon eyes, additional wiring will be required.
Bangin' Headlights are designed to fit your classic car. In these cars the headlight compartment is often tiny and most LED headlights do not fit. In many cases the light quality has been compromised to make the headlight fit.
Uses a full size 2.5" Bi-LED projector headlight that is small enough to fit your car. No compromise on light quality, yet it is designed to fit without modification.

Okay so the editors note was accidently left in😅 my bad guys please ignore! -Andrew
Great product.... now let's find a inexpensive way to start mass importing the Ford inline 6 turbo'd Barra engine from Australia and New Zealand.
I'm with you Jed!
Awesome video guys! Glad you like our headlights Cam!
He knows and sees a quality product like we do! Yaaaaay, no Chinese Ebay crap, I love it.
@@robertclymer6948 ✌️😎
Neat stuff for sure.
You have a great channel! Thanks for sharing.
We appreciate you watching
I love this upgrade! Those old lights are way too dim. I recently did an H4 conversion with relays and it was well worth the time and $$$ 🍻
We were blown away by these.
Definitely need one of these for 67 Coronet
Get some!
@@Banginheadlights I'm looking into that after it comes back from my uncle's, yes putting new 3/4 cam, new valve springs, timing chain kit and lifters
They can definitely hook you up.
Looks like a great upgrade to the OE lights but I don't drive my classic at night so the halogens I have work fine for me
Not everything we do is for everyone.
I'm settin' this one out......
Lol
I got a set for the my 69’ f100. Still have some adjustments to do on the beams. I didn’t open up the bucket. I think I may have to though.
Hey Jeff - Do send us some photos after the installation!
Look pretty cool.I only drive my car in the summer.I live in Alaska. It's day light till about 11 pm.So I don't use my headlights very often.
Yep. The headlights are not for everyone, but they are a very cool addition.
@@AutoRestoMod Do they make them for the 4 headlight system. Both my classic cars have 4 headlight.
What about the red and yellow wire?
Looks like it works good. I take issues these days with the modern headlights as even on low beam you are blinded by them to the point where you point the car where you think your lane is and pray your right.
I like these because they have a top cut off.
Ours have a sharp cutoff because we use a projector lens. Stay away from the cheaper LED headlights that use a reflector bowl and simply replace the halogen bulb with an LED bulb.
@@Banginheadlights thank you for the info
@@Banginheadlights awesome! That was my first thought! Do they have a cut-off, because i dont want to blind oncoming traffic. I have been waiting for these for a long time! Gonna out em in my datsun 620, too!
@@Banginheadlights 🤦🏻♂️ didnt realize these were for 7.5”. I just checked your site and it doesnt look like you have the 5.75”?
Very nice looking lights. I am surprised they don't call for a relay. Also, how many amps do they draw? Thanks for sharing! Now off to finish my brake job and bleeding.
Thanks Rob, they are just 35 watts compared with the original 55w halogens so no relays required!
www.banginheadlights.com
@@Banginheadlights Thanks for the reply!! only 35 watts, that is awesome!!!!! They are gonna look so good on my 67 Mustang Gt!
@@robertclymer6948 Thanks for the question too, it’s given me an idea to make a video showing the wattage comparison as well as show how to take the reading with a multimeter.
We forgot the amp draw info.
@@AutoRestoMod a lot of people also ask for lumen & lux info but we like to remind them that a reading with a meter does not equate to how your eyes perceive the light. A lot of other headlights are super bright to a lux meter but you can’t see much on the road.
Thoroughly enjoyed this upload... Thumbs up and a sub from me... Stay safe... Rico
Thank you, I will
Was planning on upgrading the 69 stang with LED headlights next year. I’m considering Holley Retrobright lights. How do they compare to this? The one advantage I see is that these are glass and the Holley’s are a type of plastic.
Hey Matt, our light output is much better because we actually use a full LED projector. The other company is just sticking an LED bulb in an old-school reflector style casing and charging you an arm and leg for that!
@@Banginheadlights ok sounds interesting… 3 questions though… does it come in the 5-3/4” size for 69 mustangs? 69 mustangs have 4 headlights, 2 high and 2 low. Is any additional wiring needed for this set up? What is the light output?
They are working on a four light set up right now.
@@mattcornett7180 Hey Matt, keep an eye out for our 5.75” coming soon!
Is the light refraction of these lean toward forward and right as ours are or forward and left for them, as they drive on the left.
We make both LHD (for USA, Canada, Euopre) and RHD (for UK, Australia). You can make the selection when buying on our website www.banginheadlights.com
Thank you. Good to know for sure.
What Bangin said.
They are Abby normal. I like them. I wonder how would they fit in a 72 mustang.
As long as it's a 7" round headlight they'll fit just about anything in the world. I've seen them put on Volkswagen buses, Broncos basically all kinds of cars
Where do the Drl and turn signals wire connect to?
You can connect to the original harness
Uh, is that "Hooptie or Hoopty"? I'm having a little trouble finding the specifications from NHTSA/ASE. Perhaps a little clarification is needed.......
Depends on if you are from the nawth or the south.🤣
Are you using the generator charging system or has this been changed to an alternator?
We've changed the car over to alternator.
With my GTO I went with relays for the headlights so that you aren't running all that power through the factory switch. Also, the aftermarket switches today are so poorly made that I'd rather have a relay fail that is mounted somewhere convenient than have to take out the dash and/or crawl around on the floor when there is a bad connection.
Amen
Our headlights are just 35w compared with the original 55w halogens so no relays are required!
These don't need relays for the wattage, it is about old wire.
@@AutoRestoMod Yeah, that was why I replaced my entire wiring harness when I bought my car. Old wires and too many splices throughout the entire car.
Can you add a link to the headlight website. Thanks
Hey Blakeney check us out here! www.banginheadlights.com
Blakeney Sanders I would tell you but someone keeps deleting my post.
@@lilorbielilorbie2496 Probably CZcams. I have posted links to outside web addresses and had them deleted sometimes immediately, sometimes a day later. Most product videos have links in the description, or you can just Google the company name.
Yes, another relay vid! 👍
Where do I get these lights?
Hey David! Get them directly off our website www.banginheadlights.com
We get tons of stuff from Australia via RRS. I think it's cool that we can get stuff delivered from the other side of the world quickly.
Are these available in RHD?
Certainly are! Both LHD and RHD. We are based in Australia ourselves and ship worldwide.
What he said.
@@Banginheadlights cool, cost shipped to Scotland??
@@kevindawson6170 Hey Kevin, best to check our website for pricing and options. Currently a pair starts at USD $310 and we recommend international FedEx shipping for USD $35. We have shipped a whole bunch to the UK recently including to Scotland and even the Isle of Man!
@@Banginheadlights will do bud, thanks 👍
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the price yet.
$310 for the set.
@@AutoRestoMod Plus 50 for the turn signal feature.
Today's projector light video is more interesting than yesterday's video. I'm just messing with you, yesterday's video must have been a mistake load up to CZcams.
It was. Never post tired. Lol
Mind if we call you Bruce?
G'day Bruce!
It’s always a ground issue 🤦♂️
Usually.
why not just leave them off? If the ring tightens up they can't go anywhere.
They can twist in the bucket so your beam won’t be parallel to the ground. Not so noticeable with halogens but you’ll definitely notice with our brighter light. We would recommend leaving at least 1 tab on. They are made of a soft plastic for easy trimming (compared with the rest of the case which is die cast aluminum)
What he said, but without the Aussie accent.
@@AutoRestoMod lol 😂

Relays are the only way to go. Most old Ford's get 12 or less not 13.8v.
How about 4 light systems?
You never showed Falcon "Marty's" eyes from 20 ft away.
I need something better for 4 eyes.
Thanks. 👍😎
Now you can name your Falcon MARTY.😁😁👍👍
Hahahahaha I like it. We'll probably do a relay harness. Banging is working on a four eye set up right now.
4 light systems coming soon!
Nope.
Not everything we show is for everyone.
@@AutoRestoMod Granted. Just voicing my 1A opinion. I could have made it much longer. Much.
