    After 5 XRS sleds in a row, I am going to give the RAVE a go next season. Looking forward to the 46s!

    Ordered a 24 rave do you mind making a detailed video on adjusting suspension and setting it up the correct way, just wanna be able to use the sled to it’s potential. Thanks can’t wait!!!

    Awesome machine. I currently run a 21 xrs 850 etec. But definitely going with the Lynx on my next sled. Looks like the north shore got more snow. Saying another 6+ on Wednesday. Should be good riding up there until trails close April 1st.

    Just a quick question? Being that it has the ice ripper track does it come standard with tunnel protectors? Debating on ordering a 24 I like studs and what plan on putting studs in it wondering if I would have to buy tunnel protectors

    How is the setup on the Lynx for a taller person; I’m 6’3” and have long legs. Am I going to feel comfortable on the 2024 Rave 3500?

      I'm 6'2'' long legs and the 2024 Lynx was the best ergonomics I've seen. Just spent 5000km on a 23 Xterrain, for the first time on a sled I don't get cramped and the firm seat is perfect if you're 200 pounds+. Surprisingly the 2024 is even better

      I agree. have been stuck between buying a lynx or an assault. have a bad hip and back and im only 30. sat on a lynx terrain and couldn't stand the feel. Polaris has the best ergo's but I just feel like they aren't reliable, always overheating especially the assault. Hoping the radian 2 feels better! Rotax have the best engines!

    • @fxnytroxtxFPP
      @fxnytroxtxFPP Před rokem

      @Jacob Shinabarger I went to the skidoo/lynx show yesterday and I've sat on the new lynx and it feels very much the same as polaris ergos as and seat wise and that is a good thing. I know in this video he mentioned that the seat isn't taller but it definitely felt taller. Suspension feels even better I think I might trade up

      @@fxnytroxtxFPP Thanks for the advice! i was actually wondering that because they made it look flatter rather than slanted forward. I don't like how the Matryx makes my feet feel back all the time. mostly i like em back but like to stretch them forward once in a while. Colton has got me leaning more and more towards lynx. plus, can't beat rotax druability. always hear the assaults get warm

    "It's softer on the Bottom" - Better choice of words is "Softer on small/stutter bumps." Even though your bottom may be thanking the sled

    • @Colt801
      @Colt801  Před rokem

      You get what I’m saying though. Just use different descriptions

  • @whitneycurtis2654
    @whitneycurtis2654 Před rokem

    I think you are trying to say "softer off the top." Not the bottom. The bottom is referred to as bottom out, or the end of the stroke. The top is referred to as top out, as in when the shocks extend all the way, the top of the stroke. Referred to this way in everything from auto racing, motocross, mountain bikes, etc.
    I would like to know how this is being acheived. The rear suspension has a rising rate design but did they change the arm geometry to increase progression? In the front most double a-arm designs are actually has a falling rate, meaning it gets softer near the bottom, opposite of what you would want. Is this being accomplished in the valving of the shocks? Progressive wound springs? Usually done with dual rate springs.
    Wish we could just be transparant about the reason the track was swapped to 1.25"only. This is very strange in 2023 when all competitors offer a 1.5 or 1.6" without issues.

    • @Colt801
      @Colt801  Před rokem

    Well I just snow checked one... It will be the first BRP snowmobile product I've owned... I currently have a 2023 xcr 850 it's a great machine have had a great year 2,500 mi on it this year in NW Wisconsin and we are in the middle of a snowstorm now supposed to get another 12in.. I have had no mechanical failures and it has not let me down I just don't feel like it's beefy enough for me.. yes I've spent lots of time on suspension setup there's only so much it can take... From what I'm seeing about the lynx It should be a good fit for me .. frame of reference I'm 280 lb and TRY to ride like Blair Morgan😂😅... I'm about to find out how it can hold up to the abuse... I can hardly wait 👍

    • @Colt801
      @Colt801  Před rokem

      I did a lot of work with camso for 3 years, they taught me a lot about tracks that made no sense to me but after testing it all it all made sense. Yea more track spin is more track speed and that propels you faster. We we did snowbike stuff a smaller paddle made for better hole shots. The tracks job is to move snow. It honestly took me a while to learn it all but yes at the end of it all the more track speed you have and more zip of the track as I call it the better in these matters. It puts less load on the engine. For trail this is awesome!
