    I just dug out an old Supertrax mag. The one where you guys raced a Yamaha Viper on pavement against a Dodge Viper. No, not the 4-stroke for you young folk - the Yamaha Viper with the 2 stroke triple…. Man those were the days!!! Supertrax is the only magazine I haven’t thrown out over the years - and I have copies from the mid ‘90’s…. Kent and Mark always had great opinions! love the content guys. I can’t tell you how much Snowtrax / Dirtrax means to me…. You guys are all fantastic and I sincerely think you’re the best in the entire industry! Here’s to the 2023-2024 season! 🍻🍻🍻

    I have had many Mxz Xrs 600r's with 129 track, all of them were dead reliable and great fun in twisty trails. All of them had rack steering too, not just G5. Gotta say though, I switched to Renegade Xrs 900r Turbo last time and will not be going back to 2 stroke (although I miss the Braaap sometimes! LOL) The Renny is just that good!!

    Honestly i think it is a very good sled and having tested 850 and 900 turbo r….600 is more than enough. Yes the bigger power is fun an acceleration are just crazy but to have fun at a more reasonable price 600 are the ticket. On xrs the smart shocks should be available. Your comments on the switch are very accurate i had a hard time finding or adjusting when i rode it but like you said the owner after a while get use to it. I cannot comment on other brand but it was very impressed by the quality and fit and finish on those Ski doo. I test their r&d machine twice a year and come out always very surprised by how easy to ride and fast their machine are. Can you get an xrs with a 129 ? Never tried a 129 i always get a 137; what would be the riding difference? I am very curious to try the 900 turbo r in the g5 this winter, I like 2 strokes but the turbo engine impressed me greatly for a trail machine. I am spoiled when i ride because i get the latest and greatest fitted with everything but if i was to buy one i would choose a basic 600… and try to find a way to put smart shocks on it …. That suspension is just so good and easy to live with. Great walk around, very accurate information. Have a great season guys.

    What's pissing me off the most about the snowmobile industry for the last let's just say probably 10 to 15 years they just keep catering to the I want I want crowd And they're alienating the hundreds of thousands of more buyers they could have if they would just come out with a goddamn sled that's a simple strip down version of itself decent suspension heated grips a decent windshield and the price that people can afford to go out and run the damn things.

    • @snowtrax
      @snowtrax  Před 7 měsíci

      I get what you're saying, but unfortunately there aren't hundreds of thousands of buyers who want this concept. Those buyers are shopping for a used sled that they could probably get for cheaper than a stripped down new sled. Polaris tried this concept years back with the SHIFT and it just didn't sell as well as they'd hoped so they reverted to offering all-in packages and their marketshare soared. What sells best unfortunately is the fully jammed models and most of these guys are willing to pay either alongside a trade-in or through financing. I wish it was different, but it isn't...

But all I hear all winter is snowmobile's are expensive they are ridiculous they are this they're that and it just seems like the company's aren't listening they're going for more and more and more and more how much stuff do you need on a snowmobile before you're not riding the damn thing anymore you're staring at whatever's going on that's what I find I've always have to stop and let people screw with all their rider functions and all this and that and then we can go it's the same thing with motorcycle nowadays you're more preoccupied on what your sled has than ridings the damn thing. rant over i would go get another job so I can get newer but then I wouldn't be able to use it because I am working for it its madness out there I tell you madness LOL.
