This made me cry. She very much reminds me of my white cat that passed away in January at 16yrs(almost 17) my Ella Bella. She was so attached to me, sleeping in my arms or on my knee, coming into the bathroom when on the toilet(to sit on my knee) and even standing on the side of the bath to make sure I was safe. ❤❤❤
❤❤❤ First let me thank you for being such an awesome pet parent to Isabel I'm gonna say this as quickly as I can and I am walking so pardon the no punctuations I do know that there are supposed to be some I have had a dog her name was jaja let me tell you everywhere I went she went and when I had to finally give her back to God her Doctor's office had a field across the street I screamed and bellowed out as if it were one of my children she was with me when I was pregnant my husband and my children would always say oh This is a third sibling when I tell you she had me wrapped around her little paws like nobody's business and now we have a soon to be 14-year-old and he is glued to my hip he's a little scared of the steps so my husband will pick him up he's a border collie mix his name is Mr. Ziggy and if you don't call him that he doesn't answer you it is so funny how are hearts And pretty much my soul open up for these animals everybody knows if you mess with Deedee's dogs you may as well be prepared for war it is a god-given Blessing to have an animal and when I hear Stories like this it makes me Smile and happy to use you Isabelle and your family I Pray that you will have a long happy Safe respectful Loving Life with plenty of peace happy times and abundance Thank You for being a good soul😊.❤

She knows you love her.....I had a kitty not quite that attached, but she did love only me and no one but me. It does isolate you if you want a vacation. She lived to be 25 years old.....that was 2004 and I still miss her.❤❤

I FEEL ya'! I am in agony to leave my chickens, elderly dog, and 2 cats to go out for my daughter's college graduation! I want to stay home and take care of them... but my daughter earned this and I must support her. Hoping nothing bad happens while I go away for 3 days! (Since it is her graduation: my hubby and son will be there too so no one to stay at home with them.....relying on a cousin to pop- by and feed them)!
I am lucky, my two cats are awesome travellers in the car. We take them from Canada to Florida with us every year for a two week holiday. They rarely make a peep the entire two day drive. I also take them on other trips, lots of hotels allow cats but it has to be driving distance for us as I won’t subject them to air travel. Purchased a stroller this year as well so they accompany me most everywhere - beach strolls, shopping, neighbour walks. My best friend jokes that my cats get better vacations than her.

Isabelle felt safe with her human foster mom. She probably had a tough life prior. Mom showed her what it is like to be loved. I am happy your persevered even though it was difficult with a new baby. Isabelle is a beautiful cat.❤

You are such a great cat-mom....she loves you so much. Don't lose heart due to her age...I adopted a cat who came in the shelter where I used to volunteer....she was 17... and she lived a great life until she was 24 years old. Isabelle is still young at heart !

It reminds me of the wonderful part in the book when The Little Prince becomes friends with the fox. Oh my goodness! She looks almost exactly like my late girl, Sox, who had to be put to sleep at 17, due to cancer. My precious had yellow eyes. She died in 2002, and I still miss and think of her. My new love, Babette, is soon to be six, a Siamese mix. I love her just as much, but differently. It took me 16 years to be ready for her

I wholeheartedly empathize, because your experience with Isabelle sounds so much like mine with Willis, my 14 yo tuxie. We adopted him when he was 2+, after he was dumped at our vet's. He has had a lot of health issues during his life already, & his current age has me too aware that he won't be with me forever. I don't know how I will cope with his leaving, because he feels like part of my own soul. I take what comfort I can in the messages that "there is no loss" & that our fur babies wait for us on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Blessings.

You're an amazing person for taking on a senior kitty. I recently had to put my 17+ year old friend to sleep. It still hurts. After a couple weeks, I went to the local animal shelter and adopted one and then another kitty a few weeks later. That filled the void for me.

Awwwwwwwwwwe- Sweet Isabelle and her meows. I have always wanted to a cat with two different colored eyes because I also have two different colored eyes. I would just call us twins. My daughter Rosie (who happened to be a cat) died last year at the age of 12. It was the worst loss of my life. I miss my princess every day.

I burst into tears, at the end, when you said "I don't know how to live my life without her" ..my story mirrors yours in every single way. I trapped my precious spocker doodle bug (aka spock) when he was less than a year old. I was the only one who could hold him, he wasn't interested in anyone else n followed me everywhere. Every single word you said about you n Isabella's relationship is exactly how I described me n Spock's relationship. I had to say goodbye to Spock on Easter Sunday 2023, he was 23 years old. I have never had anything hurt so much in my whole 54 years on this earth. I wasn't able to have children, have been disabled for many years, lived alone n Spock was my only companion. I cried every single day n every single night for months. I fell into a serious depression, I wouldn't leave my apartment, wasn't sleeping, barely eating n didn't even care about taking care of myself. This was still going on 7 months after Spock's death. Everyone, including my doctors, were all telling me I needed to get another cat n I refused to do so. I couldn't imagine having another cat if it wasn't Spock. Thankfully, God did for me what I couldn't bear to do for myself. My mother, who is 82 years n lives in Missouri (I live in Illinois) was having open heart surgery the 1st week in December n I traveled down there to be with her. As it turned out, my mom had been feeding a stray cat, who showed up 2 years prior, as a kitten. Her landlord did not allow animals so she did everything she could to take care of "Gray" while he continued to live outdoors. Two months before I came down there, Gray n another stray cat, got into a terrible fight n Gray got beat up pretty bad. She was so worried that once she had heart surgery, she wouldn't be able to take care of him n she didn't want to see Gray get beaten up again. The very day I pulled into my mom's driveway, there was Gray. He was extremely friendly, loved to be petted n even gave belly rubs. He cried constantly at my mom's door because he wanted inside. My mom was also worried because cold weather was coming. I hadn't even been there for a hour before she asked me to take Gray home with me when I left. She wanted him to have his forever home. Although I initially tried to protest due to financial reasons, given the surgery my mom was facing plus watching Gray crying at her door, I agreed. The day I left, I put him in the cat carrier my mom had bought n we started the four and a half hour journey home. Gray was renamed Miles (due to all the miles he traveled to get to his forever home) n he almost instantly started to fill the monstrous hole I had in me since Spock passed away. A friend of mine has a daughter, who runs a rescue group, offered to pay for Miles to get fixed, get his shots, de-worming medication n have him mirco-chipped. My mom sends me a little money each month to help with the cost of his food n litter. Miles adjusted to life as an indoor cat in short order n I wasted no time in spoiling him rotten. He's only 2 n a half years n has so much energy. He constantly wants to play n constantly expects me to play with him. He wakes me up all hours of the night, meowing in my face or jumping on my chest because it's time to play n he doesn't take no for an answer. Needless to say, he keeps me on my toes. Miles is the funniest cat I've ever had (I've had cats my whole life) not a day goes by now, where I'm not laughing n smiling. He has brought me so much joy n happiness in the last five months n I wouldn't give him up for anything. Spock will always be my soul mate n the love of my life but Miles literally saved my life n helped me learn how to love again.. I thank God every day for bringing Miles into my life. I hope you read this n when it's Isabella's time, maybe my story will give you some comfort n maybe help you adjust after saying goodbye to your precious Isabella..

Boy, do I get that! Blackie Beasley is 18, my soulmate. I love him! As an old lady, I’ve had many cat loves in my life, but Blackie Beas… I don’t know how to describe it. I’m not sure where I end and he begins, we’re that closely bonded. I’m glad I could talk about it here and with a couple particularly close friends. So glad Isabella gets to live her best life!

I raised a stray kitten since he was 3 weeks old and he's so attached to me that he gets anxious if he doesn't see me for more than 5,6 hrs . So I never took a vacation. Nothing is more important than my small baby.

The dog was so attached to me, just like you and Isabelle. I would never take long trips either, and when I did go to visit my family, I’d be worrying all the time about my little girl. She was getting up there in age and I booked a flight to see my family for 3 nights only. My partner was home the entire time taking care of my little pug, Chloe. Well, she stopped eating after I left. My partner spent all his time with her and gave her lots of love but she made herself sick because I wasn’t there. Finally it was my last night with my family. I was looking forward to seeing her so much. I got a call from my partner at 5am the morning I was suppose to go home. My little girl passed away. I was in shock. I was crying all the way home on the plane. I blamed myself for taking the trip. I started thinking, maybe I should of made the trip for 2 nights. What bothered me most was, I knew she was getting older, but I promised myself, I wanted to be with her to the end. I wanted to hold her in my arms and make her comfortable and not be afraid. I still hurt inside and that was 10 years ago. You never stop hurting but I now have a new female pug and she has a wonderful personality. Animals are good for your soul. You give them lots of love but they give so much more to you. You are a wonderful lady for sharing your story and Isabelle is the luckiest kitty in the world. ❤

Have 3 cats. My “Stray from the Bay” who attached himself to me 3 years ago, weighs 22 lbs, I then got a 17 year by old from the shelter, owner died & family did not want him and 2 months ago I brought home a 14 year old. Same story. I help the local shelter with the oldies. They are great and grateful. Calm, well behaved and when they look at you with their beautiful faces & eyes you know they are saying “thank you”. You are a wonderful mother to your kitty. I have a younger kitty but is so attracted to me I hate to leave the house for a couple hours. He is ten years old and loves to come up and sit next to me and talk to me in his little way. I had my first cat back in the 70’s and she died two months short of twenty and I held her through it all and never cried as hard as I did during her last breath. My cat, Topaz was attached to me very much like Isabelle and she had the good grace to live until she was ALMOST 22 years old! Don't count them out. I did have to cater to her numerous health problems in the last 3 years, but who cares about that? I was so happy to do it.

Aw, what a pretty baby! Cats that are that attached are exhausting, but you still love 'em. My old man is the same. He was left behind by his previous owner (we had just moved into the neighbourhood) and adopted by the new tenants there, but they also had a dog and he hates dogs. So he cose us as his new home. He is around 16 now and I cannot sleep peacefully a single night. When I am at my desk, he demands to be in my arms. It is difficult, but they are just animals in the end. They dont quite get how annoying they can be sometimes
