Wes Barker is a Canadian magician and comedian doing funny tricks, and telling great stories. You may (or may not) know me from my TV show Big Trick Energy. I knew the one with the accordion pleats in the paper and I totally won some drinks with that back in the day. The best time was when the pub landlord said that if I could do that the group of us could have the free drink of our choice each, and there were eight of us! Happy days.
Now I have to casually slip this video into my friends CZcams recommendations and wait for them to challenge me in the near future.
Wes, my favorite is this. You’re a contractor and your building three homes in a row. Each house has to have water, gas and electricity. However, the city has a code that says you can’t cross utility lines. Also you can’t bunny off one house to another. Each line has to be drawn separately from the utility directly to the house. So I draw three match stick 3-D homes. For the utilities I draw three rectangular shaped boxes, and label the utility: water, gas and electric. Much like your coin through the hole, it’s possible but you have to think about it. You can have as many tries as you need, to accomplish your task. Are you up to it?

At 1:35 the bright white of the paper against the black background made me think of the sin city graphic novels/movies

My favorite paper trick is asking someone to cut a hole big enough for you to be able to walk through the paper. THAT one gets the “WTF?!?” moment!!! 😂

Try this: Can Wes impress a celebrity? The video series is you trying to fool a celebrity, then you include the reveal in the video. Or at least you include the celebrity's reaction to the reveal in the video.
You find the celebrity by asking a ton of low-level ones. Eventually one says yes. Then you work your way up to bigger ones.

Always did the bottle opening with a 20 dollar bill. Little more challenging bc it’s smaller and you need a newish one. Old ones get v difficult or impossible.
Update: the shot glass balance trick ALSO works with a crisp dollar bill. Which feels completely impossible. Gotta do really small folds but it legit worked easily. TY. That will win me a lot of shots.
