When viewing magic tricks always look for the unnecessary element as that gives the trick away. From the spectator’s point of view, why is the paperclip even part of this trick? You’ve made the card in your hand switch places with the card in their hand! Then if they think about the paperclip, it almost makes the trick easier to figure out, in my opinion. 🤷♂️
